It’s almost impossible to find good Mexican food in the northeast. I found this place while walking around the tannery mall waiting for my daughter to finish a class. And I’m so happy to review that Rosa makes REAL authentic Mexican food! I haven’t had a good tamale in forever. I immediately placed an order for a couple dozen and came back the next day to pick them up. I was hoping to stash them in my freezer for the month, but my family descended upon the tamales and they’re almost all gone haha. Needless to say, I’ve been back and brought the whole family and a few friends for lunch.
You won’t regret eating here. You must get the chicken tamales. I also love the chicken quesadilla and the elote corn. My son’s favorite is the sopas with beef on top. And they have authentic street tacos too. You really can’t go wrong with anything you order. I didn’t even have time to take pictures of everything before everyone started eating! I do have one bit of advice. Try to arrive early for lunch to make sure you get a tamale before they sell out. They are popular and they run out of them quickly.
I’m so so happy I found this place. Rosa also offers cooking classes, so my daughter and I are looking forward to that. And by the way, she’s the nicest person. 5 stars all around ⭐️

Not much of a sitting area on the inside, but the decor is nice. The food is pricy for how much you get, one empanada was $7
The area is nice, but I would plan for take out instead of eating in. There’s also not many seating options outside.

Definitely come here if you want good Mexican flavor. Menu is limited, but the food is amazing.
This place is amazing. It’s been hard finding good authentic Mexican flavors since moving from California so I came in with lower expectations, but was happily surprised. I ordered the Chilaquiles w/ Chicken and Green sauce and a Jamaica (hibiscus ‘tea’). Both were very good. Only major disappointment was that they no longer served Horchata because it wasn’t popular. But maybe if enough people ask about it they’ll put it back on the menu

We got a catering order we got the chicken and beef empanadas for superbowl. They were amazing. So delicious our guests loved them and all the sauces were so good. They also reheated really well.

Got the taco of my life here. They only give you one birria taco with the order, but it’s so rich you really only need one. Perfect for a casual, no-frills bite for lunch.

Great food, don’t get me wrong, but the 3 times we have been here there has been only one person working. Took 20 minutes for takeout of two empanadas. Plus, you have to order from a tablet with no confirmation that your order is in progress. I get the streamlined business model, but the long waits and no service take away from the walkup feel.

I am slowly working my way through the menu and so far can confirm the empanadas, taquitos and rice pudding are phenomenal, along with the array of homemade sauces. If the quality of the food alone wasn’t good enough reason to go (and it is absolutely is) the owner and staff are just as wonderful… kind, engaging and a joy to talk to. I’m thrilled Rosa has chosen the Tannery for her business to call ‘home’ and I look forward to trying everything they have to offer.

What a time to be alive! Rosita’s Cocina with a permanent home in the Tannery. I was guilty of stopping by the weekly farmers’ market with the sole purpose of snagging an empanada (or three!) from Rosita’s stand, so you can imagine my excitement when I first heard about this move. After an initial visit, my only concern is my own self control. I could easily go back day after day. Very thankful that Rosita’s Cocina is now a permanent staple in our community. Highly recommend you stop by! (Ordering ahead is super convenient!)

Been waiting for good Mexican food in town.
Ordered a Tamale, Chicken Sopa ( hope I got the name correct) and Flan to go.
Flavors were delicious! Especially the Flan❤️
My only issue, the Sopa dish was very watery.
Will be back to try other dishes.
