Authentic mexican cuisine! We dined close to lunch time and everything was fresh The food came out very quickly and they made sure we had our drinks filled and chips at hand during our entire meal The staff was nice and told us about the history of their restaurant and why it’s so special. come eat here! it’s cozy and clean. perfect. Also the menu has a variety of foods and drinks from eggs to seafood. something for everyone at any time of the day.

The food itself was great, super flavorful and the portions were awesome for the price. The service was horrid however. The waitress came to our table only once throughout the entire 40 minutes we were there, and when asking for refills for our drinks and more salsa for the table we were mocked and laughed at by the other staff. Unsure why, we were super friendly and polite from the get go, and never became rude even after the long waits and being mocked. Food is amazing , staff not so nice.

I introduced this location to my husband. He absolutely devoured their burrito. He mentioned it was a smidge salty. But, still ate it all. I enjoyed the fried avocado. I couldn’t eat the entire meal the size of of avocado was so large. The shrimp was perfectly seasoned and cooked. We got there an hour before they closed. And we ordered, ate, and placed a to go order all within that hour. We took home the “corn in a cup” (Elote) and you know what?! It took me back to when I was a young girl and would order it whole from the market back back home. It was soooo fricking delicious. I will be returning for that Elote.

As usual, STILL my favorite real Mexican restaurant in the Lake Charles area! Glad they have opened the second location and it’s doing good. You know it is good Mexican food when there are more Mexicans eating there than locals. The food isn’t really much different from the original location, and they have fresh Horchata as well! Either here or the Sulphur location is my go to place for Mexican food

What a great place, it’s hard to find good Mexican food around here when we visit casino’s. This place does it right! Wish the tortillas were better. But man! It’s fresh, great portions and quality service. The baked potatoes were a great surprise they’re massive! The Tripa tacos were Cooked perfectly, the parrillada was delicious. the aguas frescas are perfect, Hibiscus, Cantaloupe and Horchata. Highly recommend it!
