We stopped in to try Rosie’s Kitchen and overall the experience was just okay. The restaurant is more of a quick walk-in and order style place rather than a comfortable sit-down dining environment. The customer service felt a bit distant and not very welcoming. The person taking our order kept a mask on and didn’t really engage, which added to the disconnected feel.
I ordered the menudo, and it came without hominy—just tripe in broth. Without hominy, it really isn’t traditional menudo, and the dish felt incomplete. We also tried the tacos, and the flavor was decent, but the portion of meat was very small, which made them underwhelming for the price.
Nothing was terrible, but nothing stood out in a positive way either. Based on the quality and overall experience, we won’t be returning.

Unfortunately, I have to give this place one star. I was charged $30 for 3 steak tacos and some chips (before tip). Their tacos are nowhere near good enough to justify that price. Now, they don’t do tacos à la cart, and instead they come with rice and beans. But 3 tacos with rice and beans of this quality still nowhere near a value of $30. The price took me by surprise as I had repeatedly asked for 3 tacos to go without rice and beans. Staff were friendly and quick to help! The price was absolutely ridiculous.

Everything is made with love!! Flavorful and perfectly cooked (not always the case in the suburbs lol). We LOVE Mexican food but we have often been disappointed by Mexican food in this area. But not here! We plan to come back all the time. They also serve beer, wine, & liquor which is perfect for a Friday night meal. Staff is very friendly and efficient! This is a place where you order at the counter instead of having an active server, but the best places usually are… so don’t listen to anyone complaining about that

Homemade tortillas made and cooked to perfection. Seriously some of the best I have ever had. Salsas are diverse and absolutely delicious The people are kind and clearly experts in cooking. Great spot to sit and enjoy or take home to devour! If you sit in, the chips and salsa are soooo good! Not spicy, just full of flavor.

Ordered an asada burrito, pork flauta and enchilada for $15.95. Guacamole $6.95.
The asada burrito was pretty tasty but was mostly rice and beans. The asada was pretty good but a bit grisly.
The pork flauta was good.
The cheese enchilada was good but not very big.
The guacamole was outstanding and the chips seemed homemade.

I came here for lunch in a Sunday. The atmosphere is pretty basic small deli with about 8-10 tables and booths. I ordered a Torta with carne asada. The menu said tortas are $9.50, but I was charged $10 with no explanation. I just assumed it was more because I chose the asada? I also asked for a soda, but when I saw they charge $4 for a soda, I opted for water instead.
I sat down and quickly was brought some chips and salsa, so that was a nice surprise for a taqueria. My torta was very good, not as big as some other places, but it was just right for me. The carne asada was mostly good, with just a couple of gristly bits.
I would probably give them 3.5 stars if that was an option. Overall, I enjoyed the food, and chips and salsa are a nice bonus, but $4 for a soda is just too much. I’ll probably go back anyway and just have water.

This is my ultimate go-to when I don’t feel like cooking. Being from Mexico, I have pretty high standards and most places don’t make the cut, but Rosie’s always delivers. My favorite is camarones a la Diabla with a michelada. The freshly made tortillas are the cherry on top. The service is consistent and I love seeing familiar faces behind the counter. Bringing my kids here is always a joy because the staff makes them feel welcome and engaged. It is rare to find a local spot that feels like family every time you visit, and Rosie’s nails it.

A solid choice when looking for Mexican food. We ordered the carnitas plate and chicken enchiladas. The pork was tender & crispy, the enchiladas were freshly made and not overly drowned in sauce. Homemade tortillas and the chips & salsa were solid. The menu had a good selection of meats. There were some small upcharges like for asada and drink refills, watch out for that. Would visit again.

Standard Taqueria style Mexican place. Ordered a regular chicken burrito and it was fine. Fair sized. Good mix and ratio of meat and rice/beans/etc.
Red and green salsas were standard. Service was good.

Walked in with my partner after a hike feeling pretty hungry. The place has a wonderful sort of family business vibe. Excellent and welcoming ranchero music playing. The location is small but very well cared for, bathrooms included. Took our order from a very polite cashier who also brought out our food and bussed our tables for us. We each ordered a combo plate, some horchata and churros for dessert. Nice cashier brought us some chips and salsa while we waited for entrees. Both were good. Entrees arrived promptly. Portions were generous and very delicious. Horchata was perfect for my tastes, not too sweet, just right. Cashier brought us some hot sauces. Green sals was mildly spicy but very tasty. Orange salsa was the perfect combo of spicy and flavor. Not for beginners but if you love spicy salsa it was incredible. Would love the recipe :). Churros were also fantastic. In short me and my but partner had a delicious feast for a great price in a wonderful family style restaurant. Can not reccomend enough. Five stars.
