I was going to the BP for snacks and stopped here instead. What a delight!!!!
They have flavored tzatziki sauce so I figured it was worth trying the gyros.
Their gyros and tzatziki sauce are better than Greek-town. I used to only get gyros from Greek-town because the local spots could not compete. I’m writing this after 3 different visits. The service and quality are consistent.
Wait time: I ordered 3 meals and had my food quickly (5 mins) because I prefer the meat on the grill for a crispier experience Despite having the food quickly, it is always fresh and piping hot.
OMG the fries give McDs a run for their money.
Portions: They are generous with portions. The dinner makes 2 healthy sized gyros with meat leftover and it comes with 2 containers of sauce.

I was charged $ 9.27 for three tacos. The sign read $7.99. He said it was a special. Again the sign read $7.99. The lady that works the register charged me less and was a bit nicer. The tacos were cold and messy when I got home. I live down the street and get upset every time I drive by. I should only pay what the sign says. No more!!!☹️

So I decided to stop and try Rosie’s Drive-in. Let me tell you there Gyro’s are by far the best I’ve ever eaten. Full of flavor, juicy not dry like other places. Comes with a big bag of fries. The Tzatziki sauce is killer. I highly recommend this place as for sure I’ll be going back.

Alright, here’s the full rundown: Rosie’s in Oak Lawn looks like it hasn’t been cleaned or updated since forever. The place is run down, with peeling paint and a vibe that screams “don’t expect much.” The hot dogs? They’re dry, tasteless, and honestly feel like they’ve been sitting under a heat lamp for days. Then, when I called to fix the wrong order, the person on the phone just straight-up said they didn’t care and hung up on me. Zero respect for customers. If you want food that’s bad and service that’s worse, Rosie’s is your spot—but if you want to avoid a headache, steer clear.

Stopped in at 12:40pm and ordered the two hotdog special, everything, no hot peppers. The food was hot, so that was a plus, but the guy taking the orders at the drive thru window was a bit loud while I was waiting for my food at the window. It’s a hot one today (92°), so the drive thru window was open. The guy taking orders was talking to another guy inside and it was clear that they were comfortable/ knew each other, because the guy taking orders was using profanity while communicating with him. I honestly, didn’t take offense to this because he wasn’t talking to me. However, he asked two times, rather loudly/rudely, “CAN I HELP YOU?” and since I was waiting, I thought he was talking to me both times. ♀️ It wasn’t until I heard someone placing their order that I realized he wasn’t talking to me Anyway, the food was good (you can’t really mess up a hot dog ) and hot. I’ll probably come back to try the gyro. Oh before I forget… There’s a bunch of signs to your left as you exit onto Cicero Ave, it makes it hard to see if there’s cars coming, so be safe exiting!

I have been going here during the day for 30+ years. Awesome! We ordered food at 9:00 through the drive-thru. We got home and the mushrooms looked and tasted like they were in a deep fryer for 30 minutes. I won’t be back
