First time here, was recommended by a guy nicknamend Poppy. So happy to have gone. The food was very good. The BBQ sauces were both great, never had them before noting even close. The pork chop was huge and tasty. The Mac n cheese was…mmmm…. Pulled chicken o my!!!! People were so kind.

Stopped here mid Sept while bicycling down the state before camping nearby. Made trip planning list based on good reviews and did not disappoint. After a long hot day in the saddle the beer was cold, food delicious and nice folks working place. The duck bites appetizer – never seen before – was simply outstanding in addition to a tasty chicken wrap. Good food options are a challenge on the road, Rosie & Irl’s was a welcome highlight

Very good! The portions were quite large. I had the barbecue grilled cheese it was so good. My wife had the Philly steak it was also delicious. We had fried mushrooms as an appetizer they were so good . We will be back for sure. We also had 2 beers and a tequila sunrise, so it really was not too expensive at all.

Great hidden gem in the Lake Shelbyville area. Smoked wings!! The onion jam burger was excellent according to my bf. The baked beans were clearly homemade and some of the best I’ve had probably ever. Generous portions, cooked perfectly, and heavy on the flavor. Friendly welcoming people. And the outdoor area is really eclectic and comfortable to sit in on a fall night, live music would be fun here I bet. 🙂

Beautiful 1800s saloon Smokehouse! The patio is a great covered area to enjoy food, drink, and live entertainment!
The special during my visit was a 20oz smoked ribeye with a lobster bisque sauce, baby Yukon potatoes, and corn. We also had the pick the appetizer and chose the duck strips, cheese curds, and fried pickles. All of the flavors were amazing!!! Definitely recommend the food here.
My only critique would be to maybe add some more air flow on the patio. A couple of larger high power fans possibly.
Will definitely be back again!

We love this place as it’s close to the campground we have a trailer at. We stopped by to see how the Testicle Festival was going. We had a great time and met some new friends!

This place is a gem and totally unexpected in a town this size. Great menu selection and some delicious craft cocktails. (No beer on tap, cans/bottles only). Food was really good. Rustic setting with interesting items on the walls, and surroundings. Super laid back, friendly atmosphere.

By the rivers gently flowing – including the Kaskaskia and West Okaw … supplying another Army Corps triumph… Lake Shelbyville – lies the town of Findlay and the best BBQ on the lake and I dare say Shelby County.
In spite of the smoked pork taco special being offered, I went with their famous Wyatt Earp… the pulled pork on garlic toast with a side of Smokey mac n cheese. The sauce is usually the boss, and the two options were both good, but the star here is the smoked meats themselves… so good… I did have the spicier of their two sauces…but it was fairly. tame as well (which I like). I started eating it like a sandwich, which was good… but it was even better to spread it all out, layer on the bbq sauce, and then mix in a bite of the Smokey mac n cheese with the toast, pork, and sauce with every bite. Yum !
While I was there, Irl was handing out samples of a new sausage that they were trying from their meat distributor. Irl had smoked some up… tasty !
Finally, I had to make room for dessert. I eschewed the cheesecake for what Irl dubs the Buffalo Balls… basically a dozen donuts holes. I had six sour dough and six cinnamon sugar. Yummy! I didn’t have to wait for the state fair thus year to get those fresh, deep fried donuts.
I tried this place on the advice of my guitar slinging friend Keith Wood, and it surely didn’t disappoint. They also have an enclosed area designed for live music. Rosie & Irl just announced several of the acts that will be performing…primarily local talent.
Come on in and enjoy the ambience and some awesome smoked meats.
Okay… I had better get back across the rivers before I float away…. Cheers !
