Overall, the experience was good.
The parking lot is way less than desirable for size and needing a lot of repairs. There are a few pot holes and the stripes are almost totally gone. The building is old and the tables are showing their age. Our server was really good and polite. The burgers are huge and were fresh. The fries could use a little seasoning.

Our looked good and it tasted good.

Stopped in for breakfast one morning and found this diner fairly busy. It has a back dining area and the front dining area with a counter that looks over the small kitchen. The clientele are a very diverse crowd with retirees, sheriffs, and blue-collar folks coming in for coffees and some good homestyle food.

There’s also a carry out window for take away orders.

I totally respect the limited menu as it makes complete sense not to try and have a huge menu with such a small kitchen.

Service was really good. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The shrimp and grits and fish and grits looked delicious. I had the breakfast sandwich with Conecuh sausage and mustard, it was made to perfection.

This is A straight up awesome Diner vibe.

This is not a restaurant chain. This is where the locals come to eat awesome Cafe food. Every plate of food is made with love.

I had breakfast. The breakfast was delicious.

The restaurant was clean for being an old building.

The service was amazing.

Thanks for a great experience. I will be back.

The café was nice enough but a little cramped and limited selection on food. I got the fried fish and grits and it was pretty good. The folks at the counter seem to enjoy each other‘s company and the food. I could see how local folks could really appreciate a place like this. In a pinch, the breakfast menu will do so you can get on into work. Parking is a little tough, but there is ample room next door.

I think the thing I appreciate the most about this place is the enormous American flag they have draped up as soon as you enter. The restaurant has been around since the 60s, if not the 50s. It is a stable of the community, and I am glad to see they are still in business.

I am a sucker for a good burger and in all of the conversations and/or articles on Mobile’s best burger joint, Roshell’s inevitably receives a mention. My wife and I have been in Mobile for four years now so a visit was well overdue.
We arrived at about 3:30 to find two or three occupied tables and an order window with the same number of patrons. We sat in the dining room and our waitress immediately took our drink orders and left us with our menus. I quickly decided on a Jalapeño Cheese Steer with fries and my wife and she n both ordered Bacon Cheese Steers with onion rings. Our orders arrived in a timely fashion and were hot and fresh. Needless to say, we thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The burgers and toppings were fresh and delicious. My wife enjoyed her onion rings in particular stating they were delicious and had a nice crunch when bitten into. If I had any complaints about our experience it would be the state of the restaurant. It’s well overdue for a spring cleaning and a fresh coat of paint. That’s not necessarily a deal breaker but Roshell’s is a bit of a local long time favorite and with good reason, good food, reasonable prices and friendly and helpful staff. It seems tightening up the “Ambiance” would work to ensure that Roshell’s stays on the map for decades to come, just my two cents.

Historic diner with typical fare, burgers, plates, sandwiches. Burger was excellent, fries and onion rings also. Kitschy atmosphere that hasn’t been updated in many many years, giving it a greasy spoon vibe. Bar style seats or regular tables and booths. Open kitchen to watch them cook your food. Would come again and try some of the seafood!

I got dragged in by all the hype in the marketing on the description of the place, but was totally disappointed. I wouldn’t call this anything like a nice deli. It’s all right. If you just wanna fill your stomach definitely no gourmet experience. prices are good but it looks like the quality of the ingredients or whatever you can get out of the freezer oh, and the bathroom smelled like pee. My wife won’t be coming back for that reason only.

Skip the chains and stop in here for a small old diner meal. Prices are great. Our first experience was breakfast which was a great experience dining with the locals. The tea is sweet and the food is good. I was happy to see they offer cheese grits but they aren’t cheesy. They are a throw a slice of fake cheese and stir kind of cheese grits just FYI for those who wonder about that kind if this before ordering. Look up pics before dining so you know what to expect in regards to any cleanliness standard you may have. It is an old family run dinner. Definitely worth a visit if you are looking to dine local.
