This place is a hidden gem. Fantastic soups and some of the best meatballs i have had that weren’t made in my own house. It no surprise they sold 11 meatball parm’s in the 10 minutes i waited for my order. Simple operation no frills nothing fancy just a quick take out joint with great homemade food. I had a small meatball parm and a small stuffed pepper soup. I was genuinely mad at myself for not getting a large soup thats how good it was.

Fantastic little lunch spot for takeout since it’s a stand-up counter setup. The clam chowder and stuffed pepper soups are the real deal, and the Italian sub is too. Everything’s cooked and served with lots of personality. Highly recommend!

I cannot rave enough about Rose’s!!
We were in town for work and only there M-F. I had researched some places to try out and these guys were on my list. So very glad we tried them the first day and discovered how awesome they are. We seriously went 3 times that week… the 3rd time being on our way out to the airport. Everything was so good! The bread is so soft, fresh, and tasty. I got the Italian two days and it was fantastic. Got the seafood sub once and it was really good. I was a bit sad because I had it on my list to try their in house roast beef sub but it was sold out before we got there. Next time! Bf got a meatball sub and a turkey with bacon. Both so delicious. The chowder is a must have as is their peanut butter cookies and the brownies.
Counting down the days until we can visit again and WILL definitely go back.
Also, the two gentleman running the place were fantastic. Super friendly service. Made you feel welcome and like family. Gentleman prepping the food would listen to you order so he could start on it immediately and would knock it out with fast service.

Meatball sub is really good!! Girl working the register was super sweet and the guy making the food was great. Both really nice people. Makes the meatball sub even better when the staff is friendly!

The subs are simple but delicious, I’ve had the Italian and Meatball subs and recommend both.
The soups are amazing, I’ve had the broccoli cheddar soup and clam chowder.
They are on a different level than Panera or any other lunch spot I know.

The Meatballs were homemade, the tomato sauce was very good, and l really enjoyed it. My husband had the clam chowder and he said it was one of the best ones he ate. We definitely would go back.

Just stopped in for the first time. The guys are great. Service is super fast. The tuna salad I had was awesome. Everything was very fresh and tasty and they give a large portion of tuna. I’ve paid more at other sandwich shops and walked away hungry. Not so with Rose’s. Definitely worth a try if you haven’t been here yet.

Delicious homemade food. Freshest roast beef in Salem. The homemade lasagna portion can feed 2 people with warm bread. Very reasonably priced. Hidden jem in Salem. Worth a drive from anywhere.

There is no better lunch within 45 minutes of this place. I get consistently good sandwiches, be it Italian, pastrami, meatball parm or the Chicken Ceasar wrap. If its on their menu, its good.
You like soups? How about loaded stuffed pepper with beef? Or some of the best clam chowder you can fathom? The chicken tortellini is a cure-all even my nana would be jealous of.
These guys put in the work and are constantly delivering a fabulous meal. The combo sandwich and soup is something me and the guys at the office are getting once a week at least.
I cannot recommend them enough.
