First time here, recommended by our dear friends and so glad they brought us!! This Jamaican restaurant is phenomenal… Hole in the wall type place but the owners were so nice and welcoming… I couldn’t wait to have some authentic food and it did not disappoint! We had rice and peas, goat, oxtails, jerk chicken rice, macaroni and cheese with sausage, 1 beef pattie, 2 jerk chicken patties, fried plantains and four waters… $105… Just an abundance of delicious food and well worth the price! I had some ideas in my mind that the goat would be gamey but it wasn’t at all, everything was flavored so well and tasted like it had been prepped and cooked for hours. When I tell you this is some cooking from the heart and you can tell this is what Mrs. Rose loves to do… She put her foot in that… And half her leg lolololol… Highly recommend you try this place if you haven’t! We will certainly be back!

Roses has great food and I get lunch there when nearby. But yesterday I ordered Jerk Bowl and went home with it way across town and realized it was an ox tail bowl instead (which I do not eat). I called and was told by employee that she apologizes and recalls giving me incorrect order. She stated that she would inform staff and that I could return next day for correct meal at 11:30am. Just got a call minutes before my arrival today and was told that management said I could not get jerk meal because I did not have yesterday’s meal. And irregardless of my loss they do not want to incur a loss( which is not my fault I got wrong meal, I did not want refund but just the meal) which was in trash. I guess they wanted to give that oxtail meal to a customer today and not trash it. Idk. Unfortunately I will not return to Roses. Good food, Yes. But due to poor customer service and communication I can’t. The preceding makes all the difference because it bespeaks of a companies character and integrity towards providing for the customer and not just getting a dollar. If told yesterday of this I could of saved a lot of gas. For $10.38 they lost a lifelong customer. Lesson:[Always open your food and inspect it!!!] Please if you can, recommend another establishment with good jerk chicken in Columbus.

After placing my order I was told that it would take 20 minutes to receive my food I was on a quick lunch break so I said okay and I left and did some shopping at a store came back at exactly 20 minutes and my order was still not ready I had to wait another 15 minutes I was late getting back to my lunch break and I didn’t even get to eat my food but as I was surveying the collard greens it had leftover yams inside of it that they told me they were sold out of yams for the day also the chicken was average nothing special and the macaroni and cheese tasted like white people macaroni and cheese with no seasoning no salt extremely disappointed most likely will never eat here again!!! Also the refrigerator where the drinks are stored was extremely dirty with hair inside

Today I got ox pasta, a beef patty with coco bread and a side of plaintain. The coco bread was very soft texture of a Hawaiian roll. Personally I got full just off the patty by itself, but the oxtail was very tender literally falling off the bone. The plaintain was so hot it almost scolded my mouth, everything was fresh and very great tasting !!

My husband and I went to Rose Carrbean and ordered the Curry Chicken. The Curry Chicken had brown gravy instead of the yellow gravy and the chicken taste awful. There was no taste of Curry at all. I will never visit this restaurant again. We thought it was a waste of money food was awful.

This is definitely a place you have to check your order before you leave the building. I have had something wrong with my order back to back. The first issue I had was me receiving a curry chicken pattie instead of the beef pattie I ordered. The staff member I spoke with to address the issue was kind, took accountability and offered a replacement for the correct pattie. I came back the next day for the replacement, got home and was disappointed when I realized the replacement was OLD. At that point, I didn’t even bother bringing it to their attention, I just threw it away.

Jerk ribs were great! The seasoning was on point (spicy) and the Mac and Cheese was awesome! Wasn’t busy around the time I stopped by. (Around 5pm) Ample sitting room. Food didn’t take long to come out. Next time in the area I’ll definitely stop by again.

This is it. This is THE PLACE. This food will put you in a coma that you’ll never wanna wake up from. Everything is incredible. Oxtails, cocoa bread, beef patty, curry patty, rice, plantains, KEY LIME CAKE. I tipped heavy cause I knew as soon as I saw the place it wasn’t gonna dissapoint and it didnt. This was one of the best lunches I’ve EVER had. They even asked if I wanted my patties put in the cocoa bread for me. After my meal I took one bite of the cake and no exaggeration my eyes started watering. I haven’t had food this good since my wife left me. They were nice as can be and their service was only beat by their food.

The chicken was tender, seasoned to perfection.
Sides…yams, cabbage, Caribbean rice
Restaurant was clean, in fact hostess was cleaning tables as I was there. She was very friendly and engaging. I left a tip, I should have asked if tip went directly to her.
I didnt have a long wait
Price was reasonable
I would definitely go back.

Second time ordering from Rose’s and THIS IS THE PLACE. Their Jerk Chicken Pasta is by far the best i have ever had! If you can get the beef pattys as well! Will be coming back again!
