We call this place the barrel because it’s shaped like one. This is my go to spot especially if it’s after hours like 1 or 2am. Everyone else is closed except this spot open very late. Their burritos are decent sized and rolled tacos are amazing. Their prices are decent compared to others. I highly recommend this place for late night cravings

When you need a late night snack, this is the spot. They are opened very late and their tacos and burritos are decent. Parking lot is a little outdated. They do have a drive through if you don’t want to get out of the car. I don’t recommend eating here at night because there are homeless people wondering around asking for money.

At first glance this place wouldn’t appear as much but I promise if you give this El Cajon favorite a chance you won’t regret it. Known to locals as “The Barrel”, every customer knows 1st hand when ordering from Rosendo’s expect to be served generously huge proportions. Especially when it comes to their burritos; a staple item in these parts! Personally, I recommend either a Cali Burrito (approx $15) or Carne Asada Burrito – not only will you be shocked by it’s size but the authentic flavors of each step in this burrito making is packed with robust flavors of fresh guacamole their perfectly spiced Rojas salsa & not to forget the tender juicy taste of quality carne I never order burritos ever; doesn’t matter where I’m eating it’s just always been known to me as a mediocre form of food–that of course was before I was talked into trying Rosendo’s!! Best bacon, eggs, cheese burrito with sour cream and a hot sauce is great!! Real bacon and it’s throughout the entire burrito on the first bite all the way to the last bite plenty of eggs plenty of cheese plenty of sour cream just the way I love it. Hot sauce is perfect. The red hot sauce best guaranteed biggest burrito in town price is normal just like any other place. I give them five stars.

When I am in San Diego, this is definitely a go to spot! I always have the Carnitas, and it never disappoints! It’s more than enough for 2 and a half meals. The atmosphere is the only reason it gets 4 stars, but the food is a definite 10! If you’re in the area, it’s worth trying!

I live across the street and I love this place, I ordered the carne adada fries, cooks and lady cashier were very nice, the carne asada were packed with meat fries and guacamole sour cream and cheese container was enough for 3 meals, def recommend this place, amigos keep up the great food and s vice

NEVER EAT HERE! Found a toothpick in my Carne Asada fries, but unfortunately I discovered it because it poked me in the mouth when I took a bite. I had to eat every bite with a fork since all the chips where broken (as if they were from the bottom of the bag) so i didnt notice the toothpic until it was too late. Definitely not gonna ever eat at a place that serves food with foreign objects in it.

I bought two burritos Saturday, September 13th, 2025. One was specifically not to have Pico. When I got home, the one burrito had Pico, I called and was told I could come right back or come Sunday or Monday. I said I’d be back on Monday, September 15, 2025. I called to say I was on my way. I get here and this man tells me “no, I was no here Saturday. You come back at same time tonight and get from them”. I asked who manages or owns this place “I don’t kniw”… who was working Saturday night at 5:40 pm when I picked up my incorrect burrito?… “I don’t know”…
This good is good, but this is terrible! $14 for this burrito and I can’t get my replacement from you because you weren’t here Saturday? And you don’t know who you work for or who owns this place???? Super annoyed for sure!

Carnage asada burrito was very big and delicious with red salsa, guacamole and carrots. The building should probably be knocked down and redone.
