Tucked in the heart of the West Village, Rosemary’s is a neighborhood Italian restaurant that has become a NYC favorite since its opening in 2012. Named after founder Carlos Suarez’s mother, Rosemary Suarez, this iconic restaurant pays tribute to her warm hospitality and sprawling garden in Lucca, Italy. The menu features house-made pastas, seasonal vegetables, and rustic Italian dishes, with ingredients sourced from their very own rooftop garden and local farms.
Airy hotspot with a rooftop farm, serving seasonal Italian dishes, house-made pastas, and notable wines.

I had a really great experience at Rosemary in the Village. The space itself is beautiful the decor has this warm, inviting feel that makes the whole restaurant really comfortable to sit in. They offer a pre-fixed lunch special where you can pick a salad and a pasta for $32, which is honestly a pretty good deal for the area. The pasta was very good, cooked well, and full of flavor. They also have gluten-free options made with rice flour, which is nice to see because it doesn’t feel like an afterthought.
For dessert, I tried the olive oil cake with the blueberry compote, and that was excellent. Light, not too sweet, and the blueberry topping really brought it together. The food comes out fairly fast, too, which is always appreciated. Overall, a very solid spot for lunch or a casual dinner in the Village.

Happy Thanksgiving 2025.
Loved it today (oops i we did it again). Service, food, drinks – all excellent. Thanks again for having us at thanksgiving. Three courses had been served.
They have Gluten free options for celiacs.
Although I liked „family style“ of 2024 more and would love to see it next year on the menu. Fingers are crossed.

Went here for dinner, I had made reservations earlier in the afternoon but since I was with my friend we decided to cancel it because we were running late. Thankfully once we were done shopping we did walk in instead later in the night. The hostess squeezed us in for an available table for 2 that had a time limit of an hour since it was packed which we didn’t mind at all. I liked the food and drink the Salento Spritz cocktail, Ppaperdelle Verdi, and Caprese foccacio! Our server was nice, and very attentive, I would of loved to hear the dessert. I will definitely be back!

Food is always consistently delicious here – try the foccacia and all the pastas! The drinks are also lovely, and the bar area always has plenty of space to stand and hang / wait for your table. Love this spot! Quintessentially West Village.

This place is amazing! Everything on the menu looks incredible. We started with the crispy artichoke, so good like potato chips outside, Sicilian salad and then the orichette. our server Jackie was excellent, her suggestions were right on point– every dish was spot on. She went above and beyond, so friendly and courteous, which I always appreciate.we went to see the garden upstairs where all the salad ingredients are grown. Talk about farm to table! We will definitely come back n try other things. We sat outside n saw Quentin Tarantino pass by! I pointed at him ♀️

It was very memorable. I celebrated my 34th birthday here. First time in New York. The food and overall vibe were amazing. I had a tasty desert as well. I had a ton of fun at this restaurant as a result. I would recommend this to anyone in the New York city area. A+ for me and very tasty food.

The pancakes here are amazing!
Great place for brunch. Not super busy and beautiful interior. Food is well priced and the pancakes are something I’ll definitely be back for.
I’ve been here for dinner as well. I prefer their brunch food more than the pasta dishes for dinner but its still a great spot for a date or small group.

Don’t get me wrong, the food was delicious! We had the ricotta focaccia, olives, arrabbiata rigatoni, and mushroom Cavatappi.
But for a $200 dinner, I don’t want to feel I’m being pushed out the door. We had a 4pm reservation and arrived 4:05, the place was more than half empty. The hostess made sure we knew we had to be out by 5:30pm. Later, near the end of our meal, our waiter and another employee argued about our table not being cleared fast enough and making bets on how much longer we’d be there. Mind you, they were standing right behind our table! At this point, the room was even more empty.
Also, the rooftop garden is pretty sad looking! We came here to see one of the few places in the city with a garden to table model. We expected more.

Was craving soup and this butternut squash on a rainy day and this hit the spot. 10/10 no notes. Their seasonal old fashioned was also a nice pairing. And of course had bombolini for dessert and a not pictured espresso martini. Thank you!

We had a fantastic experience at The Rosemary in NYC. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful, with a warm, inviting atmosphere that makes you want to stay awhile. Our server, Jason, was outstanding—attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. He made great recommendations and checked in often without ever being intrusive. Overall, delicious food, great service, and a gorgeous setting. I’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend this spot.
