been many times and last night with over 30 people. First, this place handles large groups like a champ. They are ON! They were gracious with me updating the head count, had no issue taking a big rez, and got us all out in time for a fun concert at Fogartyville. Big selection to make everyone happy and nice assortment of wines and cocktails. Every dish is prepared and plated to perfection, beautifully, absolutely delicious and from scratch meals, the waitstaff is top notch caring, efficient, professional. Great place. You know how some places are hit and miss. This one is always a hit. Always superbly prepared, gorgeously plated, wonderful service, delicious food, and a great value. Thank you for treating us to such wonderful food and service! We’ll be back.

Andrew is exceptional as are the rest on staff.

We arrived on a busy Saturday evening with reservations and were seated immediately.
We decided on the pre fix since it all sounded so good. I ordered a smoked rosemary martini which was refreshing and delicious. The warm bread with rosemary butter was fresh out of the oven. We chose the steak skirt steak with chimichurri sauce and the seafood paella followed by the chocolate cake. Everything was delicious and plentiful. Nancy our waitress was so attentive and friendly. I can see why this place is so popular.

My friend and I dine at Rosemary and thyme last night at the suggestion of my friend Neal owner of Taste magazine. We started with the Ahi Tuna Nachos. The concept was interesting, but the execution made them difficult to eat. The dish consisted of two large nacho squares topped with tuna and a tiny slice of avocado. Because there were only two chips and very little avocado or sauce, the balance felt off and the dish became messy to eat. Serving the tuna across several smaller chips, more like traditional nachos, would make it easier to enjoy and better distribute the toppings. The flavor of the sauce was great.

For entrées, my friend ordered the Duck à l’Orange. The duck itself was cooked beautifully — perfectly done. However, the orange sauce was served in a small condiment cup on the side rather than coating the duck, which is unusual for the classic preparation. We ended up asking for more sauce.

I ordered the Watermelon Radish Halibut. Unfortunately, this dish was disappointing. The menu described the fish as pan-seared, but the fillet showed no evidence of searing or caramelization. It appeared pale and lacked the texture you’d expect from a pan-seared preparation. The greens and watermelon radish on top didn’t tie the dish together, leaving the fish somewhat dry and disconnected from the garnishes.

Service was polite but could have been more responsive to feedback. When I mentioned to our server that the halibut wasn’t good, his only response was to ask if he should take it away. A more empathetic response might have helped in that moment. The manager did eventually come over and graciously removed the dish from the bill.

With a few adjustments to flavor balance, execution, and service response, the experience could match the beautiful presentation coming out of the kitchen.

Had a reservation for dinner. Our table was ready immediately. Everything was wonderful. I’m not sure that my water glass was ever empty. Servers were on the ball, topping off water, refreshing our bread, & making sure we didn’t need anything. All 3 of us went with the prix fixe menu; what a great price for all the food we got. Everything tasted amazing. I personally had the Steak Diane. Chefs kiss. (And a bonus lobster tail when I ordered a cocktail. Don’t need to twist my arm there.)

I loved the plates/dishes. The owner (I think) even stopped by our table to chat. Very friendly! (Go Bills!)

I did read other reviews and giggled at the comments about the atmosphere being an older crowd. I’m not from Sarasota, but I’ve always had the notion that Sarasota was a “retirement” city, so none of this surprises me.

Celebrated Easter with our family here for brunch because they take reservations. Such a welcoming restaurant as everyone from the hosts to the servers were delightful. All of our food was perfect and they even accommodated a baby in the family by bringing our requested meal for him immediately. I wish we were local so we could eat here often. A beautiful restaurant, convenient location, lovely menu, and fantastic staff.

This was our first visit for us to this restaurant in the Rosemary District. Parking was a bit of a challenge, but we circled the block and were able to take over a spot that was just vacated. We were here for Mother’s Day brunch. The host greeted us warmly and we seated promptly. Service was good even though the place was very busy. The Mother’s Day brunch menu prices were high compared to their usual menu, which has very recently priced items. I got the Quiche Lorraine with breakfast potatoes. The presentation was very bland with no garnish at all even a couple more slices would’ve been nice. It was tasty. My wife got the spinach and crab omelet, also with breakfast potatoes. It unfortunately was very bland. And the plate came without any garnish. Presentation is so important, but at least the food was good

This is an absolute must go to spot. The atmosphere is wonderful. I suggest you choose to sit outside and enjoy the ambiance of Sarasota under the festive umbrellas and white lights. The live music was an extra treat. Scott was our server (who was fabulous) and an experienced one. I had four of my closest friends come down from Alabama to visit and we were seated in the perfect spot outside and enjoyed the round table which allowed for easy conversation. We started with the calamari app and it was divine. Everyone ordered different entrees. I ordered the corvina R&T style and it was fantastic. All the ladies said their food was delicious. Kudos to the front and back of the house. *and be sure to tip the musician on your way out! I highly recommend Rosemary & Thyme.

I met family here while they were in town. I couldn’t eat (fasting) but everyone else enjoyed their meals… the atmosphere was lovely though. I LOVE all the antique, wooden, furniture they have displayed. It would make a beautiful place for a small reception/event ❤

I would recommend this restaurant to everyone ! The owner George is personable and we really enjoyed our brief conversation . I am posting photos of the food fare we enjoyed so much from appetizer to entre to dessert it was all stellar along with the service and ambiance of the dining room . We will eagerly return to enjoy the fine fresh food served here ! As a critic of food this place gets double 5 stars ! My highest accolades to the chef staff and owner thank you George . Dr. Mazzeo .

The atmosphere is beautiful and charming. Service was impeccable. However the food was extremely disappointing. With a name like Rosemary & Thyme I was expecting delicious flavorful real chef creations, however the food is basic and bland…average at best. Certainly not worth the price. Ordered shrimp tostada…3 unseasoned pieces of shrimp placed on shell with little corn sauce. Fish chowder didn’t have any fish in it. Szechwan chicken had a tiny bit of this sad runny sauce on it. They should leave the Asian dishes to PF Changs. I do not recommend…I normally don’t leave reviews but this is one of those times that I walked away feeling like the meal was a complete waste of money and with regrets
