The staff were very accommodating and we got a table for 6 at short notice during the holiday period, which was awesome ! We had really low expectations but the food at this place charmed us all. we had ordered vegetarian spring rolls, chicken satay, vegetarian green curry and rice. a stir fry and vegetarian fried rice The food was really nice, satisfying and all of us enjoyed it. The green curry was served with a candle lit at the bottom to ensure the curry stays warm. However, The quantity for the price that is charged does not do justice. For the same price, restaurants in Melbourne offer more quantity. We had requested for warm water which was served to us. However, they charged me $7 on my bill. Upon requesting them, they waived it off. Given how nice the staff were and how yum the food was, we recommend this place for the food, service and ambience.

Walked in on a rainy day with my kids not knowing what to except but it was definitely the right decision.
The food was excellent, they have a range of options and portions are appropriate.
Me and my family had a delicious lunch here and will definitely go back the next time we are in rosebud.
They had toys and books to keep kids busy which is a bonus!
Highly recommend this place..

Such a charming place to dine! The staff here are so lovely and the food is amazing!
We ordered the Chicken Satay skewers, Vegetable Spring Rolls and Prawn Pad See-ew and all dishes we delicious! The Pad See-ew in particular was loaded with Prawns!
Would definitely recommend this place (I believe they also do take away too!)

Thought we would give this place a go?
BUT
We have to say it was the worst Thai food we have ever tried to eat, and have eaten a lot..
The curry sauces were watery, lacked ANY flavour, meat poor quality.
The roti was awful, old, undercooked & doughy, could not eat it.
Rice was not fresh.
I’d guess frozen then heated in microwave.
The prawn crackers were stale, a huge bag, and a tablespoon of satay sauce came with it, which tasted like it was from a bottle. REALLY disappointed.
Definitely not worth & waste of hard earned $80..
Would NOT recommend.
Save you money, & go to Lighthouse up the road..

Visiting the Mornington Peninsula for the weekend and looking for a Thai restaurant close to our hotel, we found Rosebud Thai in the shopping strip opposite the beach.
Obviously popular with a wide range of people of all ages, the food was very tasty (the home made fish cakes were among the best I’ve ever had). The lady (the owner?) who served us was welcoming and did a great job of keeping every ticking along efficiently with a smile.

Service was fantastic. Food amazing, we had satay chicken skewers, pandang curry and a pepper beef stir-fry. Everything was fresh and tasty. They were happy to modify the curry so it was milder and they nailed it. Would definitely recommend and if I’m ever in the area will revisit.

We were holidaying in Rosebud over Christmas and gave this place a try. I have to say it was the worst Thai food we have ever had. Honestly, I make better Thai food using a jar of curry paste and coconut milk. We ordered a Massaman Curry and a chicken and veg stir fry in Oyster sauce, curry puffs and roti. The Massaman and stir fry were very watery. The Massaman was very watery and was 90% potato and 10% thin sliced beef. The chicken stir fry was just ok, but the oyster sauce was very watery so almost no taste. The roti was rubbery and thick. Would not recommend this place – was a waste of $70!

The food itself is not that bad in taste for a quick takeaway, but it dosent justify $22 for a ‘large’ Tom Yum in a container no less taller than a coke can.
It’s difficult to find a place in Melbourne city & suburbs that charges this extravagant amount for a Tom Yum & if you do, you get a hefty serving of at least the soup portion of it.
The food is expensively overpriced in general for what it was.

Loved it got the jungle curry tai spicy was amazing very spicy but I could eat that dish everyday the fried rice amazing with prawns meat and veg cooked to perfection
Love the prawn spring rolls were a full prawn wrapped instead of the mushy crap others do
My partner got beef noodle dish was expecting egg noodles but got flat noodles not as good but he still really liked it lovely fast service 🙂
