Such a lovely bed and breakfast in a quiet and tranquil part of Vermont. Suzanne is absolutely lovely and made our stay incredibly comfortable and enjoyable. Definitely have high tea during your stay — everything was absolutely delicious. We stayed in the blue hydrangea room, which was very comfortable.

Stayed solo for 2 nights and it was perfect. Susie was attentive and kind but gave me my space, and made two delicious breakfasts. My bed was incredibly comfy and the whole inn is charmingly decorated and perfectly cozy. Super fast wifi too, plus it’s right in the town of Chester which is small but scenic and has just about everything you need for a quiet getaway. I would definitely stay again!

We stayed 3 nights in early October at the Rose Arbour Inn in Chester, VT. It is a moderately priced Inn in a charming old Victorian style 19th century house with a wrap around porch. After reading some of the reviews I have come to the conclusion its all about expectations. The house is old and has old house issues but is quaint and charming and the experience unique. The breakfasts were delicious, Suzy, the host was warm, hospitable and fun as we engaged her and another guest in evening card games. The bed in the Rose Room was the most comfortable we had in our 12 days in Vermont. Her beautiful dogs, if you chose to meet them, were delightful and well behaved. So if you expect 5 star physical amenities this is not the place for you…go get a hotel and pay 3x as much. If you want a unique experience with warm hospitality and human interaction try the Rose Arbour. We would not hesitate in the future!

We visited from MA for a wedding in Grafton. We had never stayed in a bed and breakfast before and we are so glad we chose Rose Arbour. Suzanne (Innkeeper) was so welcoming, personal and warm. She made us feel right at home. The house is so beautiful, cozy and clean. Breakfast was delicious but the conversation was even better. If we return to VT (which we definitely will) this is where we will be staying.

wow…what a great experience at this super cozy and warm hotel. I’d describe it more airbnb experience than a hotel. Victorian style house has 2 rooms and is beautifully decorated. All through out the house you will definitely feel the artsy side of the owner. Every decoration has its own place and definitely makes you feel like at home. Small gift shop on the first floor offers a variety of souvenirs, paintings and some snacks. The bathroom and living room are shared. Home made breakfast to include pancakes with hot maple syrup, fruits and coffee were delicious. Owner was very accommodating and easy to talk to. There are also 4 huskies in the house that were super friendly and did not bother us one bit. Overall great experience and will definitely stay there on my next visit

We experienced a very lovely high tea. The food was spot on on: tasty tea sandwiches, wonderful scones with generous cream and jam, light and fluffy tiramisu, and chocolate covered strawberries and orange slices. The setting is delightful with tea pots galore.
