Roscoe’s Beans and Greens Soul Food was spectacular. Grocery stores and fast food chains don’t make macaroni this good. The salmon croquette was phenomenal and tasted like something my family would make, which was what I needed to feel a lot better than I did earlier today. The candied yams were delicious, and the potato medallions were too. Roscoe’s Beans and Greens Soul Food you are alright with me.

The baked chicken tasted like it was 478 days and 478 nights old, literally hard, drrrrrry, and were baby chicklets small wings and were very ugly unpleasing to eyes. The dressing had to much sage very nasty taste and the gravy didn’t help that’s how horrible it was. The sides were just ok not flavorful and had a weird smell. If some one ask for a Baked Chicken Dinner verify with them if its ok if it is only wings that they are giving, we didn’t ask for a wing dinner. You guys served us old food literally. We were expecting a leg thigh breast wing for a 14-15 dinner. The cornbread was hard as pennies. I swear if we didn’t stay soooooo far we would have brought that nasty mess back. Don’t serve customers a dinner that you wouldn’t want to eat if you went to a restaurant besides your own. Thats why you should never be to busy to look in your bag before you leave a restaurant. You know your chicken is dry when it looks like it’s been broasted, roasted and grilled all shribbled up for dayyyyys. We love roasted roasted and Grilled when properly cooked. But this was your definition of baked. I mean literally NOTTTTTTTTTT FRESH, dark, the bones were dark no onions, no flavor, none of that good gravy juice dripping like real baked chicken just dryyyyyyyyyy and my relative open hers up and said paused and she love to eat and never ate it. We will never return here. This feedback is to help this restaurant do better. Please do better, the economy is too bad to be wasting money on food that was prepared like this for customers sowing into your business. I don’t know about any other food on the menu however we wont risk ever coming back again to see either!

Oxtails are soul food style, not Jamacian style. Large pieces of meat. Flavorful and tender. Was quite pleased.
Try mixing the oxtail drippings with the gravy to pour over the mashed potatoes, you won’t regret it.
Cornbread is fried. Never had it that way. It was really pleasant.
Worth the trip!

The best soul food I’ve had in a while. I got the smothered pork chop dinner with macaroni and green beans. Everything was delicious and I’ll definitely be back.

When it first opened I was there every day cause I’m single it was delicious! Now the flavor isn’t there! Yams great! Meatloaf was bland no bell pepper or nothing! Hot water cornbread was hard and old and did I say small. Dressing was not flavorful like before! Portions
