Located in Historic Roscoe Village along the Ohio-Erie Canal, you will find some amazing Texas-Style BBQ. Built in 1845 for the Lock Keeper, and then a used as a music shop, this historic home has now been transformed into a smokehouse heaven. At Roscoe Barbeque Company, we feel incredibly lucky that we get to do what we love. We strive to produce the most consistent Texas-Style smoked meats as possible, scratch made sides and home-made BBQ sauces. Dry-rubbed and slow-smoked is how we do it. We want you to taste the meat, spices and smoke blend. We have nothing to hide, we put our sauce on the side! Seating and food is first come, first served. We do not take reservations. Ordering and service is at the front counter.

Me and the wife loved it overall.
Got the roscoe sampler. 2 meats and 2 sides.
And it hit it out of the park. A very scenic setting. Easy to find with plenty of parking. The space is set up like a take-out joint with only a handful of tables inside. In fair weather, there is a lot of outdoor seating.
The food is classis smoked BBQ. Texas (dry rub) brisket and ribs. Classic sides like Mac and cheese, beans, Street corn.
The BBQ is prepared in an on site smoke house. And the pit master knows his craft. I’ve eaten a lot of Que in my 75 years and this was pretty darn good. Moist, firm. Great taste and texture. The brisket was sliced thicker than I like but held it’s shape. They talked us into a banana pudding for dessert but we were so stuffed that we took it to go.
The place stays open until the days smoke was sold out. At 5 pm about half the menu was sold out. There was a steady stream of customers.
Very friendly and open. Everyone working stopped by the table to chat.
I wish I could give them more than 5 stars. They really saved this road trip.
Lovely location in a park like setting.
Outdoor seating was tempting but we ate indoors.
Very clean.
Menu board announced what items were sold out.
Service was fast and friendly.
Food was ready quickly and it was very good.
My only disappointment was that we were hungry again soon afterwards (about an hour)
Not sure why we didn’t find it to be filling enough; we’ve never experienced that before.
It was good though.
Got the brisket with coleslaw and corn, and pulled pork with green beans and coleslaw.
From the southern sweet tea and delicious lemonade, to the chopped brisket sandwich (he chopped it just for us-it comes sliced on the menu). The Texas street corn was also muy delicious.
The gave us samples of German bologna, smoked turkey, pulled pork, and sliced brisket. The restaurant is located in a historic canal lock keeper’s house-situated by the water.
My 4 kids- who are VERY picky eaters- especially enjoyed the green beans and macaroni.
I wish I could give 10 stars!! We will definitely be back to visit in the future
Texas sheet cake was over the top! DELICIOUS!
VERY, VERY EXCELLENT!!!
