Hubby and I are former Chicagoans who remember how delicious Chicago thin-crust pizza was before we moved to
Florida over 40 years ago. When we heard Rosati’s was opening up in the Jacksonville area, we were really excited! Finally drove to the St. Augustine location for a lunch-time treat. We were not disappointed. This location has seating for dine-in, so we were able to enjoy our 14” sausage and green pepper thin crust pizza hot out of the oven! The sausage was just as we had remembered it..perfectly seasoned “chunks” that were covered with melted mozzarella on a cracker-thin crust. Tara, one of the owners of this location (who is actually from one of the Chicago suburbs where we used to live) was so welcoming and really loves her restaurant! We plan to be back very soon to try the deep dish pizza and Italian Beef sandwiches, both of which we have also been craving!

March 3: Their meatball sandwich cures whatever ales you. So delicious I can’t tell you how good it is spiced just right and when I finish it I wish I had one more bite
November 23: I had the Italian sausage sandwich for the first time and it was delicious. Of course we also had to order a couple of the best pizza around. This establishment never disappoints
June 21: We ordered the Cheef and Beef sandwiches today. They did not disappoint. Both were juicy and flavorful. Flashbacks to Indiana.
We are enlisting in the Rosatis Army.
June 14:
We were fortunate to be able to order a pizza the day of their soft opening. The owners are down to earth and very engaging. The staff is top notch. We are Chicago area born and raised and we were “Rosatis Regulars”. Our new Rosatis pizza was delicious. We will be “Rosati Regulars” again. Kudos to everyone for bringing a true Chicago dining experience to Saint Augustine. An ode to Rosatis:
“Throughout history, during man’s quest to find the ultimate pizza pie, it’s been said that Saint Augustine is the battlefield upon which Lucifer and God battle for men’s souls my friends and they are right.
In a world of nothing, of greasy slices and tasteless pies, there will be a monument to our existence. Drained by the experience perhaps and blunted by time, but everlasting. Because this pizzeria represents all that is hopeful in the human experience. The courage to stand for a food nation when all others fail or turn away, the strength to recognize quality and to accept it’s cost no matter how great. Through the ovens of their kitchen, a comet blazes to announce their arrival, and their victory will be transcribed into every language known to history, including Klingon. The number one pizzeria in the world! I give you America through Chicago itself! Rosatis Pizza!”

Today, I visited this place and had an incredible experience. I ordered a deep dish pizza, and it was simply superb. It’s probably the best pizza I’ve had outside of Chicago. To save me the hassle of carrying all the dry food to Orlando, I also got an Italian beef sandwich.
The location is great, and the staff is fantastic. Their meatball sandwich is to die for. It’s packed with flavor, and the prices are quite reasonable for the sandwiches. The portions are also generous. The staff goes above and beyond, from the front of house to the back of house. I’ll definitely be a returning customer.

LOVE LOVE LOVE. After moving back home to Florida from living in Chicago for 17 years I was SO glad to see this place open up. My husband will drive from Jacksonville down to this location to get me slices or a whole pizza for lunch and leftovers. The owner is so nice, and the pizza tastes exactly like it did up North. Cannot recommend enough!!

As a Chicago native, I can confidently assert that Rosati’s is the epitome of authentic pizza. The thin crust is remarkably delicate and flaky, while the double dough offers a slightly thicker texture with a hand-rolled edge reminiscent of tavern-style pizzas. The Chicago Deep Dish, a culinary specialty unique to the city, is akin to a pie filled with an abundance of cheese and toppings, resulting in an exceptionally filling experience. It is challenging to consume more a slice or two. The dough is freshly prepared, ensuring its superior quality. The Italian sausage, a signature offering, is meticulously crafted in-house, distinguishing it from the generic, low-quality sausages commonly found in other pizza chains. The house-made pizza sauce is equally delectable. The Italian beef is an absolute delight, and for those seeking a spicy kick, hot giardinera can be added. In my opinion, Rosati’s pizza stands out as the pinnacle of culinary excellence. The restaurant’s commitment to using top-quality, fresh ingredients is evident in every aspect of its offerings. I highly recommend that you experience Rosati’s for yourself. One of w kind in area and owners and staff are Superb love the passion and dedication.

My wife and I visited today to take a pizza back home to St. Augustine Beach after a visit to Costco. We were excited to see that Rosati’s was opening in St. Augustine. This is our second visit to this location and the staff and owner are friendly and engaging. We are originally from the Chicago area and always enjoyed Rosatis pizza and sandwiches. We’ve been coming to St. Augustine for over twenty years and have been permanent residents for four years. We have tried alot of pizzas over the years, and I can truly say I have finally found a truly excellent Chicago style pizza, most other pizzas fail in comparison. We are glad you are here and hope for your continued success. We are 20 miles from this location but it’s worth the drive for a taste of home. Thanks for the great food and will see you soon.

I’m from Illinois and I was excited to see this spot open! I’m from the southern part of the state so I like the traditional square cut pizza, and it’s , but I went to to Chicago all the time and I still get a craving for deep dish, I got my first rosatis deep dish on Sunday, not only was it delicious, it was A LOT of food! Per pound it may have been the best deal I’ve ever gotten on pizza… I broke a sweat carrying it in from the car!

We had to try the new Chicago pizza place and it did not disappoint. The crust, sauce, and cheese are all spot on. It has something for everyone in terms of crust preference (tried them all). Tried the mozzarella sticks and pepperoni strombolini – both delicious. The staff/service were amazing. Definitely going back.
