I know they’re known for deep-dish, but we ordered a large thin-crust Windy City which has spicy giardinera on it. It will definitely be one of my go-to pizzas from now on! The cheesy garlic bread is also THE BEST I’ve ever had! It tastes like they use real garlic! And, SO MUCH cheese!!!

This was the first time that I have tried Rosati‘s on Mills Civic Parkway. A little background about me, I’ve tried Orlando’s (now closed), Bordenaros and Scornovaccas. This place thoroughly amazed me! This place does not skimp on ingredients! Besides that their customer service is second to none! Marco, the owner was there and I talked to him for a while also, What a wonderful person! I ordered the veggie, which had mushrooms, green pepper, tomatoes and onions on it. The crust was out of this world and was done perfectly! The sauce on the pizza was what really amazed me, I’m Italian and I’m very picky with my sauces when I eat pasta. This was one of the most authentic sauces I’ve ever tasted! I also ordered a side salad, which was magnificent! Not skimpy with ingredients. Because of my experience that I had today with ordering the pizza and the overall taste of the pizza, I will be back to this location many time in the future! I’ll be honest, I was ready to complain about the price. This is definitely the most I’ve ever spent on pizza in my 11 years living in Iowa.
But after trying it, I have zero regrets. Hands down the best pizza I’ve had since moving here—nothing else even comes close!
The crust, the toppings, the flavor… absolute perfection. The deep dish was incredible! The breadsticks were loaded with gooey cheese, and paying extra for the thick crust on the pepperoni pizza was 100% worth it. Even the sauce had a little kick of spice that made it unforgettable.
It honestly reminded me of the kind of pizza you’d find in lower Manhattan…rich, authentic, and unforgettable. For a moment, I felt like I was back in New York.
If you’re ordering delivery and wondering if it’s worth the splurge—it absolutely is. My pictures do not do justice!

Today I order food for the sabbath days. I just got back in town. I didnt have groceries or time to cook before the sabbath started so I order pizza. If you honore the sabbath, you know, you are not suppose to buy, sell, trade. Cook or clean from sundown friday, till sundown Saturday. I paid for my food in advance. when I got home with my pizza and the sabbath had began their was hairs cooked in my pizza. Not one slice but three!!! i ended up throwing the pizza away and now I have to fast with no food till Sundown on Saturday. I’m absolutely upset about this! Normally people prepare to fast but now I have to trust that I will get through till sundown saturday because i do not play about my religion! This is absolutely horrible!!! How hard is it to wear hair nets? The company makes more than enough money to be sure their employees can wears hair nets.

I’d never been before and just needed a pizza close to my mother’s house. We were both blown away, the quality and taste, everything was spot on. So many toppings when I was handed the box I thought “shoot, I bet they gave me deep dish” nope. Exactly what I ordered. Absolutely the last thing I would have expected walking in. Oh, and the gentlemen working the front Absolutely killed it, pleasant, upbeat, friendly. I will absolutely be back.

I am visiting from out of town for the week and chose this restaurant due to its location from my hotel. The Combo pizza i got was great. If ever back in W Des Moines, this will be my first meal.

Pizza tour continues with rosatis. We were greeted by a man at the register who was very kind and helpful. We ended up going with a 14″ deep dish with cheese. It was ready in about 30 mins. We loved everything about it. Thick crust with lots of cheese and sauce. We will definitely be back!

7/15/25 Follow up review…wanted to give them another shot as I know they do slices over the lunch hour and i was in a pinch. I get there at 12:00 noon on a Tuesday and they are closed! No sign or nothing! what a bummer!
This pizza is straight garbage. 25% of the pizza is cardboard crust TO SAVE THEM MONEY. Jack’s frozen pizza is better. There service is even worse. Took twice as long and the people working there were clueless when I inquired about my order.
Rosati’s is low quality. It’s been an hour since we ordered and still no pizza when we were told 35 minutes. The coupon that worked at check out online is also apparently not valid even though I already paid for it online. Seems like a real mess of a place. We brought all the issues to their attention and nothing was done to correct it.
Manager looked like a hot mess and had to fix my order because they tried to screw us and get away with it knowingly. Lame.

My parents’ favorite take out pizza. Dad likes to make his own creations and Rosatis is happy to oblige. Sauce is flavorful, the cheese is tasty and the meats are delicious. Rosatis is takeout only, so 3 stars for atmosphere. That is my maximum. It is a very clean place.
