Our sever was knowledgeable and made several suggestions. We selected the Pepita Crusted Tuna for a starter, my companion had the fresh catch which was grouper, blackened with a side of the peanut sauce. I chose the Surf and Turf. For dessert, we shared the Key Lime Pie. Everything was beautifully presented, and quite artistic. The tuna appetizer was very good, but the main courses were frankly a disappointment. The creativity of the plate did not make up for the lackluster food. The steak was tough and poorly seasoned, the lobster was just passable but also chewy and not tender. The fish was not as well cooked as other restaurants downtown and again the seasoning was lackluster. The sides, lentils and mashed potatoes were just ok. The homemade Key Lime Pie was enjoyable but again seemed to lack a depth of flavor.
If the food could match the service, presentation, and atmosphere then perhaps this could be one of Isla’s better dining establishments, until then “the juice was not worth the squeeze.”
From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was electric. Incredible music, warm lighting, a perfect mix of locals and visitors, and an energy that just makes you want to stay all night. The food was hands-down some of the best we’ve had — beautifully presented, fresh, flavorful, and clearly prepared with care. Every course exceeded expectations, and the risotto? Unreal.
But what truly made the experience unforgettable was our server, Ulises. Without question, the best on the island by far. Attentive without hovering, knowledgeable about the menu, genuinely warm, and effortlessly professional. He elevated the entire evening and made us feel like VIPs.
Great food, amazing vibe, top-tier service, and memories made with great friends. We’ll be talking about this night for a long time.
Highly recommend — and ask for Ulises!
Ulysses is by far the best waiter I’ve had on the island and even beyond. His attention to detail and breadth of knowledge was impressive. He shared suggestions without being pushy or trying to sell and he’s just a nice person who gave us his time when possible to chat.
All of the staff were great, I didn’t catch their names though.
The atmosphere was wonderful and the musicians were excellent.
As for the food everything was excellent and the carrot cake was also one of the best I’ve ever had.
Liz commented at the end of the night “this might be my new favorite restaurant on the island”.

The skirt steak was one of the best steaks I’ve ever had in my life. Better than any fancy us steakhouse cut. And they bring out a large selection of knives with the entrees and describe each knife in detail and let you select which knife you want with your entree. I’ve never seen anything like it-so fun and unique.
Incredible service and friendly employees who take the time to explain every menu item. They had live music which made the ambience perfect. The restaurant is beautiful.
Every entree was amazing but my favorite was the drunken shrimp. It was almost like a shrimp pot pie with the most delicious white sauce.
And the desserts!!! Leave room for dessert. They make them all in house and have a huge selection. Make sure to get some cookies in a bag to take home as well!
The mixed seafood plate was amazing! The seared tuna, octopus, seafood Alfredo and fish of the day (grouper) were all excellent!
