Reviews
I typically don’t write reviews, but my recent experience at Ros Donut Shop compelled me to share my thoughts. I’ve visited this place before for their delicious sandwiches, which I truly enjoy. However, my visit today was overshadowed by a disappointing encounter with the service.
We ordered a cold egg and ham croissant, which wasn’t warmed up, nor were we asked if we wanted it hot. When my order number was called, I approached the counter to inquire if the number was indicated anywhere on the receipt. To my surprise, the staff responded in a passive-aggressive tone, telling me not to look at the receipt. When I politely asked where I could find the order number, I felt overwhelmed as three ladies behind the counter became aggressive towards me.
The atmosphere was anything but welcoming, and I felt ganged up on over a simple question. It’s disheartening, especially given how generous the shop can be. While I appreciate their offerings, the customer service needs significant improvement to create a more pleasant experience for patrons. I hope they can address these issues, as I would love to enjoy my visits without the unsettling feeling that accompanied this one.
This is the second time I’ve been in (first was a week ago). I came in around 11 am to find all the croissants and most doughnuts gone) but I find this to be common if the location focuses on quality over quantity.
Today I went at 7 am and wasn’t surprised to find it as busy as the other day suggested (lines would form quickly). I was able to get the items I wanted though, and was very happy with my choices.
The croissant doughnut and old fashioned (not pictured) were very generously glazed, so be sure to have coffee, tea or some drink to go with them!
Croissant sandwich had fresh, fluffy scrambled eggs and the bacon was crisp but not burnt, making the texture pop from within the freshly baked croissant.
Cinnamon twist, crumb, and chocolate glaze had a puffy texture and had a moderate glaze, a great choice if you want a bit lighter option.
