Rootwood Cider is a must-stop when you’re in the Lake Chelan area! The cider is always fantastic, and the staff is warm and welcoming.
We love the outdoor seating; it’s comfortable, relaxed, and never too loud. You can even reserve a sheltered table in advance, which is a great option. Our favorite ciders are the Harrison, Rosé, and Lake Effect, all super flavorful and well-crafted. The Buzzing Bee cider cocktail was also a standout!
Whether you’re passing through or spending time in Manson, it’s always worth a visit.

What a fantastic spot for an afternoon cider tasting and hangout! We loved our visit from start to finish. The gentleman working was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the experience even better. The ciders are really good, ranging from dry to semi-sweet, with a unique pepper one available right now. Snacks available were perfect for holding us over until dinner. Definitely want to return!

2022 – Update – My last review was when the taproom was in downtown Manson and this was my first visit to the Orchard – I absolutely love this location. It is a cute and cozy tasting room set in the Orchard – we visited in the snow in winter and it was so peaceful and gave such a warm feeling despite the weather outdoors. We did a tasting, bought some bottles, and the best part – had some hot spiced cider to warm us up in the winter weather! I can’t wait to visit again in the summer!
This is a great stop for a change of pace from the winery visits in the area. The day we stopped they had a flight sampler of 4 different ciders and it was hard to pick a favorite! They all had their own standout flavors – perfect combinations of crispness, tartness, sweetness & honey. The atmosphere is great for enjoying a glass while visiting with friends both inside and outside on the sunny patio. It was very cool to hear the family story from one of the pourers, they have a great vision on how to bring the apple farm into the modern day by adding a cider producing and tasting room. Very worth a visit – we will be back to sample more tastes and glasses on future visits to the area!

The Rootwood Taproom has great ciders with some really nice creative variations. Their apples are all Estate grown on the family property and make for some great dry to slightly semi sweet cider options. The property is beautiful, casual and a great way to spend the afternoon. I definitely would recommend Rootwood and will return when we are in the area.

We visited in January during a weekday and had a wonderful experience! The tasting room is in a very cute building right on the main street of Manson. Cider was delicious and we got several bottles to take home! Loved the hop infused cider especially, but everything was good! Service was excellent and friendly. We enjoyed a plate of salami, cheese, crackers and apricots as well. A fantastic family owned business and a must-visit when in the area!
