the food was good, but our server, richard, was great! he was very personable and he and the staff went above and beyond to make our experience memorable. carol, one of the hostesses, was welcoming and kind.
we got the burrata, lobster bites, caesar salad, ny strip, prime ribeye, potato gratin, and the brussels sprouts. we enjoyed each item and got our dessert to go since we were stuffed!
we went to celebrate our anniversary, and roots gave us a complimentary customizable ice cream to congratulate us. all in all, a great experience.

Roots is always a lovely time – very sophisticated ambience, delicious food and attentive service. It’s for sure pricey so we head here for special occasions. The menu is very nice — we started with Kobe beef sliders and waygu dumplings which were delicious. The chilled seafood tower was also nice — the calamari was ehh I would skip that next time as it wasn’t anything special for the price. We also had the 10 oz filets which were lean and very tender — the sides were Brussels sprouts and truffle fries. The Dessert selection was also very nice — we opted for the butter cake and layered carrot cake. Never disappoints!!!

We had an absolutely phenomenal time celebrating my brother’s birthday last weekend! Before getting into the meal itself, I have to commend the staff for their professionalism and hospitality off the jump. Our reservation got delayed and before we could even think to question the delay to the hostess, the manager approached our group at the bar and offered a round of complimentary drinks for the inconvenience. The staff was both apologetic for the delays (which were totally out of their control) and appreciative of our understanding. The drinks were delicious as well.
Beyond the hospitality, the food was truly exceptional. We started with shrimp cocktail, bacon, and burrata for appetizers – all of which were fantastic. For mains, the table ordered various wagyu strips and petit filets and shared sides of onion rings, mac and cheese, and Brussels sprouts (my personal favorite) – the meat was FANTASTIC. Lastly, we ended the night with the massive ice cream sundae for the birthday boy as well as the creme brulee, both of which were outstanding. The waiting staff was extremely friendly and attentive, and made the night really special. This is a great place to go for great food and service!

I have been coming to Roots Summit for nearly 15 years. It has been going downhill. Last night was my worst experience yet and I’ll likely not return. Service rushed us throughout the meal. How many times do they need to ask “have you finished with that?” when you clearly haven’t? Then the maitre-d staff staring us down when I eventually told the service to go away. On top of that, the food was mediocre. I had Beef Wellington. The beef part was ok but the rest was just soggy pastry. The raw bar was frankly poor: bad oysters, overcooked crab. I can get better food than this for half the price and a far more pleasant dining experience. They’re clearly taking their clientele for granted.

Fantastic Food and Service. Make sure you ask to be seated in the back. We sat in the bar area and it was way too noisy. I would have asked to be moved except the restaurant was packed. Our server though was extremely friendly and attentive. Cool place otherwise. Steaks were amazing. Expect to spend over $250 for dinner for two.

The experience was fantastic, the food delicious. We started with fresh seafood—fabulously presented. The service was excellent, and the starter bread was outstanding. If you’re a meat lover, this is the place for you. The cocktails were amazing—mine was a Smokey Old Fashioned, 100% recommended. They have a bar, and the place is great for everything: lunch, dinner, celebrations, or meetings. I loved it.
The restroom is downstairs, which makes it a bit of a walk, but it was spotless. Parking is located at the back.

Was here with my Dad, sister and her husband. From the moment we entered the door, we were treated like royalty by Peter, the receiving host. Our server, Oscar, was so helpful and gracious. A truly fine young man who endured my 96 year old father’s questions and advice with a smile. Had an amazing experience at Roots, thanks to Troy and the entire team! My husband and I chose to celebrate our recent marriage here, and it couldn’t have been a better choice. Troy was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and gave us excellent, attentive service. The drinks were perfect, and the food was outstanding—especially my steak and mac and cheese. You only get one chance to make a first impression, and they certainly made ours unforgettable. We were treated like royalty. Thank you for making our evening so special! 10/10 recommend.

The Roots team was wonderful to work with from start to finish. The process was stress-free and they were so accommodating to ensure we hosted the perfect event. Let me just say….it is my first time here. Today is my birthday. I was a bit nervous because I didn’t know how my experience would be or how the food would taste. Let me tell you…..I had a very very good birthday. Mayor (our server) was ABSOLUTELY AWESOME. He was was soooooooo much fun. What a beautiful spirit! He was so helpful with the menu, he helped my mother father, and my friend what to get, he explained many menu items to us in detail……I mean…..this was just such an amazing experience for me. Peter who was the host was extremely friendly to us. He asked us how we were enjoying our food…and asked us where we are from….etc. Very warm and friendly. Definitely coming back! But this time……with my entire family. Can’t wait! Thanks Roots!
