I went to Roots PNW expecting a good meal… and left wondering why I hadn’t discovered it sooner.

First off, the homemade bread and baked goods should probably come with a warning label because once you start eating them, self-control goes out the window. Everything tastes fresh, like it was made that morning with real ingredients (spoiler alert-it was) instead of coming out of a freezer.

The food was fantastic, the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, and it has that authentic local feel that big chain restaurants just can’t replicate. You can tell the owners and employees take pride in what they’re doing. Our kids loved the acai fruit bowls and smoothies, the sandwiches were top notch and my wife really enjoyed the toast with smoked salmon.

If you’re anywhere in the area and want great food, fresh ingredients, and a place that actually feels like part of the community, this spot is absolutely worth the stop.
