I ordered the create your own bowl (VEGAN since I don’t meat or dairy) online and good thing I checked my bag before pulling off because they forgot my two sauces. The cooks were definitely cooking tonight because the food was delicious. I did notice a fishy odor and I hope it wasn’t due to the mushrooms being or going bad. Time will tell hopefully I don’t get sick. The hibiscus tea was AWFUL I’m so sad to say it tasted like it belonged in a bucked of swamp water. I’m not sure what that was about but it wasn’t anything anyone should be drinking. Bad batch idk.. other than that, I enjoyed my bowl. The guy at the wind showed some frustration when he realized I was still at the window. It was all over his face. Maybe he was just ready to go idk but I didn’t feed into his vibe.

If you are ever in Columbus, Ohio, stop by Roots Natural Kitchen. The atmosphere is quiet, the food is delicious and the portions are large with reasonable prices. You can choose off the menu or build your own bowl. Great place for meat eaters and vegetarians. You will enjoy it.

Had a great dinner at Roots Natural Kitchen! I got the Balboa and my husband had the Garu, both modified for allergies. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. The food was fresh and delicious, the atmosphere was relaxed with plenty of seating, and we’re excited to try their drive-thru next time!

Tried Roots on our way to a movie. My wife has had it at work catered and wanted to try it. Overall, I was very happy with it. It had vegetarian options for her and carnivore options for myself. The portions are enough for 2 meals. I had the El Jefe and would definitely get it again!

The food is always fresh and delicious. Fast service. I haven’t had a bowl or salad that I don’t like. Love the chicken and tofu offerings. The southern bowl and Balboa bowls are my personal favorites.

Ordered food for delivery as I am on a trip for work in the market. Was seeking something healthy and easy. Orders the Mayweather w no cheese and avocado due to a low fat diet. Portions are insane (gos love the Midwest!) and the food was exceptional for fast casual. Great flavors overall.

I love the food here — it’s always great — but the customer service really needs improvement. When I ask for something additional, it often doesn’t get added, and even the regular portions are very small. I end up having to repeat myself multiple times, and the attitude I get in return is not acceptable.
Most of the time when I visit, there are only one or two customers, yet I still have to remind the staff about what I want, and getting a half scoop of food is ridiculous. When it comes to food, I have no problem paying for what I order, but I expect to actually receive it and to be treated respectfully.

I placed a pickup order through Grubhub about 30 minutes in advance and went through the drive-thru to pick it up. When I tried to explain that I had a Grubhub order, the employee cut me off mid-sentence and told me it wasn’t ready—without even checking.
Because of that, I went inside and saw that my order had actually been sitting there for a while. The restaurant wasn’t very busy, so I was confused about why everything felt so chaotic.
The same employee was also yelling at other workers and seemed extremely stressed, which created an uncomfortable environment for both customers and staff.
Overall, the experience was frustrating and unwelcoming. Better communication and a calmer, more respectful attitude would make a big difference.
