From the moment I walked in, Roots Coffee House felt like a quiet hug. The staff greeted me with genuine smiles and graciousness, creating an atmosphere that felt deeply peaceful and loving. It’s rare to enter a café and immediately feel at ease, but here I did. Roots Coffee house has intentionally crafted each detail to make you feel welcome.
One of the highlights: the açaí bowl. Every single bite of it was just so good. The berries, the textures, the flavors it wasn’t just a treat, it felt like a little celebration in a bowl.

Thou shalt enjoy this most Calm & Peaceful vibe. In the beginning the barista created thine latte from the (w)holiest of Sassy Farms milk and was most pleased. The temptation of a cinnamon & orange donut was too much. I repented to other patrons it was delicious & will be back soon! You’d never cuss in church ⛪️ so don’t cuss here. Wonderful & caring staff tend this extremely clean coffee shop. Peace be with you.

This place is fantastic!! What a great addition to the Sun Prairie! Easily the best coffee in town, if not in the greater Madison area. Excellent oat milk cortado. I loved the pistachio latte and their bakery items were great. The vibes are so friendly and welcoming you can really tell the staff are happy. Also they have pup cups! Love!

This is my first time ordering here so I’ll be back to try other things. I ordered a caramel latte, I prefer not to taste the bitterness of coffee so milk and a sweetener usually does it. In this case, I could taste the burnt beans, maybe it was because I ordered a 12 oz and should have gone with larger? I also ordered the egg sausage and cheese sandwich, I took that home to eat. It comes on a brioche bun which is lovely but I’m not sure if it’s because I waited to eat it or it’s just a thick sandwich that it felt a little dry. I ordered a cranberry orange scone and a sourdough chocolate chip cookie but will be having those at a later time. I love the ambience here, as it had comfy places to sit, some cute decor, places for children to play and wait as well as plenty of space to sit. They do have a small merch area, so if you’re looking for an extra t-shirt or a sweatshirt or maybe some jelly from Colorado they have it there. Free water on tap in the back which is a nice touch

Great coffee spot. Breakfast burrito had very fresh ingredients, cooked perfectly and a great shell. Person working the counter on Friday morning had excellent customer service. I followed up with a question after the sale and my meal. She obviously answered my question, but surprisingly she even used my first name in her response. Very subtle, but obviously she cared about the customer experience.

This is a wonderful, welcoming cafe with fresh pastries and delicious drinks. Our mocha and matcha drinks were terrific, warming us up on a cold WI winter day! The best part is the incredibly friendly team that made me feel like part of the family during my visit! The owner Chris and her daughter are incredibly friendly and they go out of their way to make friends of customers! This is our new go-to coffeehouse when we pass through Sun Prairie!

Ah yum! Great find off the beaten path. Easy parking, which is a problem in SP. Laid back atmosphere, caring and friendly barista, more than just carbs on the menu. Might be a new favorite!

It’s been a couple weeks since Roots opened, I’ve been there almost everyday since. I am always welcomed with a “Hello!” and a smile. The coffee is TOP NOTCH. The Asiago Cheddar Rosemary Scone… obsessed. Just tried the new breakfast sammy today… delicious! Roots doesn’t miss. Their heart for serving people is evident throughout every single detail.

I’m absolutely obsessed with Roots. I go nearly every Saturday (if possible) since August to read, write or work on projects. The atmosphere is so bright and airy the moment you walk in. The decor is simple, but eclectic. Which I love. I’ve been to other coffee places in the past and they are just dark and heavy feeling. None of them have ever made me feel this good to just get up and go spend a chunk of my day at. On top of that, the staff are all phenomenal! So friendly and happy. They gice off this feeling of a tight nit family that enjoys seeing the community they make coffee for. It’s more than a job to them, and it truly shows. The food and drinks are just as great. I may be biased towards their Blesses Berry Acai Bowl though. Love it! Lol. I am an avid Chai and Matcha drinker, but decided a few weeks ago to try their holiday special, White Chocolate Gingerbread Latte. Oh my!!! I am NOT a coffee person at all! But this latte is ALL I can think about during the week. It’s my go to order right now, and that says a lot. I have never liked any lattes before.
So, if you’re looking for a beautiful spot to bring a friend to catch up or looking for a place with good coffee and a chill vibe… Roots is where it’s at. Highly recommend.

Oh my! I went here for coffee with a girlfriend and it was just such a refreshing change of pace from the usual coffee grabs. The staff was so friendly that I felt a little ashamed I didn’t leave a bigger tip. This was a one-off stop of me, or at least it was since I don’t live in Sun Prairie, but if I’m ever out that way again, I’m going to make a point to come again. Thank you for being a strong woman company!
