Roots Bistro is a farm-to-table restaurant located at 539 National Road West in Richmond, Indiana. Opened in January 2025, we are the latest venture from Tree Hill Farms, aiming to provide real food made simple for busy people on the go. We emphasize clean-label ingredients and source from other local and regional farms. Our menu features a variety of options, including salads, soups, mac and cheese bowls, rice bowls, panini sandwiches, and organic drinks. Roots Bistro operates daily from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., offering a welcoming space for those seeking wholesome, locally sourced meals.

Great lil place we found today, nice dine in area and very clean, the staff very friendly and helpful since it was our first visit, just looking for a light lunch… he recommended the grilled cheese, but I really wanted brisket…lol so the grilled cheese and add brisket, EXCELLENT option the sandwich was big enough to split, and toasted on a press, absolutely delicious sandwich, it hit the spot for lunch, along with a side of the Italian pasta salad, also very delicious, and a small strawberry dragon fruit drink… made it a wonderful combination for lunch… for 2 people it was around $20.00 so not bad… we will definitely visit again!!! Give them a try!!!

The Tractor Strawberry Dragonfruit drink was incredibly delicious and I could see myself coming back for that alone. The chicken bacon ranch salad and the chicken bacon ranch macaroni bowl were okay. The next time we come back, we’re going to try the brisket and the salmon. The staff was welcoming and friendly. The store was impeccably clean.

What a wonderful hidden gem. We were in town shopping and literally Googled “restaurants nearby” and this was one that had popped up. They boast specialty Mac ‘n’ Cheese bowls (Brisket, pizza, chicken bacon ranch) and have the most phenomenal Grilled Cheese panini that pairs well with their tomato bisque soup. They even have rice bowls, steak bites and gyros. Whether you’re a meat eater a vegetarian or something in between, they definitely have items on the menu to appease your palate! Their Tractor brand natural beverages/sodas were on point too. We would drive the hour & half to eat here again, HANDS DOWN!

Really great experience! I had the superfoods salad and my husband had brisket mac bowl. Delicious and fresh! It’s nice to find a place with healthy yet filling options. As another reviewer mentioned, I’d love to see some plant based protein. And also, sweet potatoes. lol. We will definitely be back!

What an amazing place. Stopped with my sister for lunch, we ordered a grilled cheese brisket, a pasta salad and th strawberry dragonflies drink. 10 out of 5. If you have not tried Roots Your missing out on the best meal and environment.

What can I say? Food was amazing. Austin Wimer fixed up the best meal for my evening and have over the top service! The lobby is warm and atmospheric as well as the seating being superb! 5 stars hands down.

If you don’t go, right now, and have the Sweet and Spicy panini …. you are missing one of the best sandwiches ever! Perfectly toasted, crispy bread with an amazing blend of warm ham, cheese and a sweet and savory cream cheese spread that is simply incredible! This place serves healthy delicious food! They run- a film loop explaining their products. It is somewhere between fast food and a sit down restaurant. Very clean. Will return if we go from Columbus to Richmond again. A bit off 70 and a bit expensive, but worth it!
