Absolutely awesome vibes and atmosphere. The food was delicious, and I really enjoyed the soup of the day. There are plenty of vegetarian and vegan options, which is great. The person taking orders at the counter was very knowledgeable about the menu and super accommodating. The masala chai was excellent — no surprise it’s one of their best-selling drinks. The tacos were also really good. The owner even shared the story about how this place started, which made the visit feel very personal. Highly recommend stopping by — it’s definitely a unique experience.

Had a great experience at Rooted. Service was amazing, they let us try the chai black tea, and gave some great recommendations! The black chai tea was AMAZING! I’m usually not a fan of chai but fell in love. The lunch dishes were soooo tasty and healthy <3 We got the Buddha bowl and the chicken pesto sandwich with a mushroom potato soup. afterwards, we hung out and did some studying and reading- Highly recommend for great foods and great vibes!! Such a pleasant place for lunch – decorated with style, and very welcoming. Staff are friendly and the food super fresh and delicious and healthy! A delight! Upstairs from the sundry shop. We wish we had time to enjoy a yoga class as well. The studio is stunningly beautiful.

Rooted on King is in a 100 year old building, you will have to climb stairs to get to it. But if you can, it is worth it!
The space is also a yoga studio.
Valerie, the owner, has exceptional taste. She has brought some beautiful pieces from her travels abroad. The doors going into the yoga studio are breathtaking!
Our son ordered the Moroccan Mint tea for all of us and Skyler- lovely girl- prepared it for us.
Having tea in such a beautiful space is an experience you must have!
I wanted to try a bit more for my Google Review, I was hesitant at first but I went with the Beet and Berry bowl (made by Vincent) & let me tell you, it was DELICIOUS! My husband and my son both tried it and loved it!
I will come back again on my next visit with our son in Boone.

Beautiful place tucked away in an upstairs yoga studio on King Street. The food is good, fresh, and has a wonderful range of vegetarian options. The chai is some of the best I’ve had in Boone. And the studio itself has a lovely sensibility that transports you away. All in all, it’s a great place to stop for a meal with friends or family.

We decided to stop here for lunch, first time here, while visiting Boone. Rooted on King has a relaxing, calm and positive engery.
We loved the brick wall where we sat. Even the one bathroom had brick showing and really liked the sink and dresser/bottom of a hutch?
We were welcomed in by Sandra. She was very friendly and helpful! She explained how to order our food.
We looked over the menu and I ordered the chicken pesto panini. My daughter ordered the balsamic berry grilled cheese. We also received a side of microgreens. It did take a while to get our food, as they were busy, but it was worth the wait! The sandwiches were absolutely delicious!!!
Shout out to Chaya and Vincent who took our order and made our sandwiches. They were amazing. They were very friendly and helpful! You can tell that they love working there. They had great positive engery! If you are visiting Boone, we highly recommend Rooted on King!

What a beautiful spot for a delicious, filling, healthy meal and tea/chai! The food is lovingly prepared, elegantly flavored, and quickly served up so you can even eat on a limited lunch hour. And IMO it’s Boone’s best Sunday brunch spot. The dining area, which shares the upstairs floor with a gorgeous yoga studio and shop, has a peaceful, east Indian meets West coast eclectic vibe, with colorful tapestries and a variety of seating options. Absolutely check this out when you come to Boone (or if you live there)!
