Bloomsburg is SO LUCKY to have this restaurant. If I am looking for a healthier, yet tasty meal, I stop at Root 11. So many options (gluten free, vegan, etc) but I have no speciality diet and still frequent this amazing restaurant! My personal favorite is the beet and goat cheese salad (topped with chilled steak)! So filling.

This is a great vegetarian and vegan-friendly restaurant off interstate 80 in Bloomberg with delicious fresh fare. The Apple Cranberry Walnut salad was delicious and the grilled cheese was a hit with the little one. Their vegan whoopie pie was a delight but their peanut butter balls were not so great. They tasted mostly like a ball of straight PB and glued your mouth shut. The food was ready quickly and the dining area was very comfortable. It was the perfect stop for a road trip across PA.

As someone with a severe gluten allergy, eating out is usually stressful for me. I normally avoid it because there’s always that worry about cross contamination or hidden ingredients. But at Root 11, I don’t have to second guess a thing and that peace of mind alone means so much. On top of that, the food is absolutely delicious!
The owners are incredibly kind people who truly care about their customers and their community. I honestly can’t say enough good things about this place. If you’re looking for amazing food and a place that genuinely cares about dietary needs, this is it!

Fresh local ingredients, a welcoming and artistic atmosphere, and the friendliest staff you’ve ever met. I walked in for the first time I was treated like family. Also attached to a health food store with the most impressive health food prices I’ve ever seen. 100% DO NOT MISS. I can’t believe I live locally and I’ve been sleeping on this place for so long. After we ate, I added it to go order. I already got a punchcard and a menu and I can’t wait to come back.

I had a delicious sandwich and my mom had a great salad. You can tell it was all so homemade and healthy. The atmosphere was such a vibe and it smelled so good in there. We also got desert and it was gluten free but you couldn’t even tell, so good! And at the back of the restaurant there is an Organics food and products store, so many good products and food. Definitely will be coming back again!

This was my first time here and I can’t wait to come back. I had the chicken and applebutter sandwich, and it was phenomenal!! The way all the flavors came together is amazing, I highly recommend it. Real food, made to order, what more could you ask for?

Ordered the mushroom sandwich and cupcakes. The sandwich was very messy but also very good! Like a mushroom and gravy dinner with greens on bread. Quite flavorful. We got 2 cupcakes, ate them and then 2 more for the road since they were so good! The are attached to a local grocery store that has lots of organic and vegan options. We were chatting up some locals there. Great environment and good customer service too.

Great place to come if you’re looking for good food. Had the Joey, pan fried falafel and a few cupcakes. Make a trip here weekly from Wilkes Barre. Great food! Great atmosphere. And the staff are all very pleasant and very friendly. Would recommend this place to anyone looking for vegan options. They also have regular items as well. I’d give Root 11 10 stars if I could!

What a great lunch while traveling, it’s not too far off I-80. Beet Salad and Chicken Apple Butter Sandwich, plus dessert. We’ll be stopping again on the way back home.
