How can you not make cornbread right at a southern restaurant?
The cornbread was dry and had no flavor. I couldn’t eat more than one bite.
I’d like people from outside the south to know how good southern cooking is, and this restaurant is not an example.
The mashed potatoes tasted like KFC mashed potatoes. The country fried steak was average. The green beans and cabbage were good.
I gave this restaurant a try based on the 4.6 star rating. I will not be back.
If you’re looking for good southern food in Atlanta go to the OK Cafe. Their greens are really good and the white and brown gravy for their mashed potators are delicious.

This was my first experience. Im eating as I type i just couldn’t wait to tell everyone how good this food is!! Every bite. Falling off the bone. I work in Douglasville but I’d travel here on my lunch break any day

I just discovered this place for the first time about 2 weeks ago and now come here about every other day. It is SOOO good, the food is like what I grew up on in the Deep South, it is delicious and a taste of home. It is super reasonably priced and everyone who works there is so nice. This is a gem in Villa Rica!

Today was my first time visiting Rooster’s. I ordered the 2pc dark meat fried chicken, mashed potatoes and greens with cornbread. It was absolutely fantastic! The fried chicken was crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside and full of flavor. The greens were perfect – not over salted and the mash potatoes were a creamy delight! It was soooo good! And very affordable! I’ll definitely be back!

1. Food was delicious and 7.99 for meat + 3 sides was a steal!
2. Staff were very welcoming and polite!
3. Atmosphere is very plain but that’s appropriate for a takeout place….all we needed was a table & chairs, lol, so it was fine for us!
Rooster’s may be our favorite place in Villa Rica!

Soo good! Seasoned and great.. I stay very close and just found out about this place. It was fast and the people nice! The fried chicken was crispy juicy white meat and the mac and cheese was creamy and cheesy with flavor. I also had the collard greens and it didn’t need hot sauce it was very seasoned how I like it. I also got a banana pudding on the side very yummy. I got food on a Sunday and I believe they had a lunch price but it was very affordable! I recommend it.

My son and I went to try out Roosters this afternoon. Of course, we all cook different- little things like adding more cheese to the macaroni or having “moist” cornbread is our family’s preference. With that being said, they have done a really good job finding a middle road that can please all palette styles. The atmosphere was lovely and the people were welcoming and warm. We ended up getting two to go plates for other family members at home because we wanted them to enjoy as well. Our server was new, but she was sweet as pie-and started off the experience with excellence. Thank you for bringing a family vibe to our meal and we will definitely see you again!
