This restaurant has a really great southern vibe. The food is delicious! You looking for good fried food this is a great place! I love how they have the paper plates and rolls of paper towels on the tables. It gives me such a small town family vibe. I’ve been 3 times always order the tenders and put the honey gold sauce on them. And their salads are very generous!

The French fries have so much flavor and were just the right amount of crispy. The baked beans are probably the best I have ever had. Of course their chicken is just as good as everything else. You can’t leave without some sweet tea though!

We were traveling and a niece wanted to stop here. First and last time. The dining room was so dirty. The floor, the tables, dirty. The restroom as well–dirty. And, everything tasted the same. Perhaps my chicken and fries were dropped in the same oil — oil that needed changing! Also, for chicken and fries, overpriced.

I’ve heard many years about roosters and was super excited to try it. I’m not one to usually review, but here we go. I ordered the 10 wing and fries plate got a small drink and extra dipping sauce. 19 dollars and change. Not horrible not great. I got my wings and fries with much anticipation. The wings had the consistency of jello, the 10 piece wing had enough sauce for probably 50+ wings. I attempted to use the bread to dry the wings up enough to eat them. I stomached 4 wings. The fries tasted of nothing but the frying grease. I hate that it was as bad as it was. I live not far and was loving the idea of a new go to. Maybe it was an off day. I’ll give benefit of the doubt. What I received today though fell short of the awful dominos wings.

Used drive thru. But, let me tell you, the prices and food are great ! I was completely surprised by the fact that the food and prices were well within reach for my budget. I worry that whenever we decide to go out, our budget won’t support the cost. But Roosters is really inexpensive compared to any of the other places that serve chicken in Athens. The food was fresh and tasty, and portions were not small.

One worker was incredibly rude. The food is pretty hit or miss, and if it’s busy you’ll be waiting a long time. But, when it’s good, it’s really good. It’s definitely 50/50 whether you have a good experience or a bad one.

This place has great food but this place if you order online will screw you out of money everytime. They don’t know how to read online orders through doordash for pick up. Everytime I order 3 20 piece check-in nuggets order I also add 3 4oz honey mustard packs to go with it. They will usually only give one or none even though I paid for 3 everytime it’s been like the last 15 times I ordered they always say it isn’t their fault this place will screw you over and take your money do not recommend

We had a large order Saturday night and everything was perfect! We were visiting my in Athens so 8 of us were from GA. They have to BEST wings I’ve ever had and I eat wings ever week. All of the kids also enjoy their boneless wings. I highly recommend Rooster’s.
