My rating of 3 (okay) in this case think of it as an academic C, a passing grade but certainly room for improvement. Rooster’s Pub is okay, the food is okay, the service is okay, it is clean. If you are looking for a bar food meal this is an okay place to choose.
I suspect that Rooster’s is popular locally (and has some high ratings) is familiarity, and a customer base that hasn’t widely traveled, there is nothing wrong with that. I am comfortable saying that this place is also likely a good bar, for those interested in that environment. It is not quite for me (us) as a restaurant. We have only been during the lunch hours.

Nice downtown Staunton pub. My friend and I had burgers. I tried the chips which I really liked and she has the fries which made her happy. Nice fresh lettuce, onions, tomatoes and pickles for the burgers. Yummy – would definitely go again. We were there after 1PM and several other tables full arrived while we ate. The diners were young kids through older adults. Everyone is welcome.

Was travelling through, but had a great time her. Energizing live music, fun crowd, outdoor patio with bar, and food was really good too. BTW, the owner is a hoot too!

I ordered take out and the order was done quickly. . The tavern was clean, quiet, and roomy. Nice place for casual dining. Standard pub sandwich type menu. Don’t get the fish fry. The batter wasn’t cooked all the way through to the skin. The sides were skimpy too. Been there twice and won’t return

Been on the road since 6am, made it as far as Staunton, IL.
Looking for a beer and burger ee found Roosters. Was pretty quiet, but the staff was super friendly, she even shared some jokes with us. .75 cent wing night, I had 6 extra crispy (first time given this option), buffalo of course, and fries. Food was good, service was great, staff was awesome, would stop again and recommend if you are in town. Thanks Roosters!

Very decent pub/grill. They need some background music playing, but the food and service was on point. With options for fresh vegetables, I’ll definitely be going back.
