(ignore my homemade sandwich) This place is awesome! i wanted to try a place i haven’t been before and luck brought me here, the atmosphere is very homey and welcoming, and the food compliments that as well. A very comfortable spot with amazing comfort food to go along with it. The service was very friendly and fast as well, overall a wonderful experience and i will be trying this place again! 10/10

First visit to Roosters and I can promise you it won’t be my last.
I had a 3 piece chicken meal Rooster style. Came with two sides. I chose green beans and jalapeño salad. I added some rojos and I’m glad I did.
The chicken is dipped in their batter and pressure cooked, all three pieces came out juicy and were huge pieces of chicken.
The green beans were full of flavor.
The jalapeño salad was terrific, it’s like a pasta salad but with a jalapeño kick.
The Rojos were a nice addition to the meal. They are a thick potato chip dipped in their Rooster batter and pressure cooked. They’re delicious.
Had an unsweet tea that was fresh and very good.
It’s their 18th birthday and they’re giving away a free cookie to customers celebrate.

Took my son here today for an early dinner. Was very impressed. To me seemed like a premium chicken express. Both of us got chicken strip meals. The classic rooster strips are very flavorful and softer breading. Crispy is more like chicken express. Tea was very good any son said his lemonade was good. Sides were a generous portion. Only suggestion I would make is I wish there was a slight more variety to the meal deals. They have a 2,3, and 6 pieces deal. Would love to see maybe 4 piece and maybe a combo option that includes the drink with the meals. On most combos it is separate. It did cost a bit more than other places but it is a San Angelo original mom and pop kind of place and I think the price is worth it. Will definitely be visiting again.

The best fried chicken strips in town, the chicken is always crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. I also love the chicken salad sandwich! Their chicken is always freshly made. And it’s conveniently across the street from us. The rolls are the best rolls ever, they are buttery and sweet. Reminds of the rolls we got in the elementary school cafeteria but BETTER!

Ordered to go, half my chicken didnt have any breading just oily, didnt include my fried okra I paid for and my god the gizzards were atrocious soggy and unbreaded and the management said they were made hours ago. Management was nice, but I wouldn’t waste a dollar here again.

We walked in right at closing and were served. They even didn’t mind us sitting in the lobby while they were closing down. Customer service was excellent. Food portions were generous. We couldn’t even finish half of the small family meal. Excellent value.

Best chicken in town. When I got there I did not realize they were 10 mins from closing until after I ordered. A boy started taking my order and got really upset and walked off. However a young lady came up to me and apologized for his behavior. She was very sweet and polite. Their chicken is amazing and we just love their authentic rojos. Real good food!!!!
