Wrapped up a shoot nearby and had a few hours before the next one, so stopped into Rooster Thai Sushi for a relaxed lunch.
Asked the server what she would personally order if she were eating and went with her recommendation (Ocean Flame Octopus Roll + Thai tea) and it was excellent. Not something I would’ve picked on my own, but really glad I did.
Roll was fresh, nicely seared, balanced flavors. Thai tea was sweet and creamy and paired perfectly.
Calm atmosphere, good service, solid midday spot if you’re along US-19 in Port Richey.

Amazing is an understatement: excellent service, quaint and warm atmosphere, very clean and welcoming from start to finish. One of the top thai restaurant visited in Florida. Truly enjoyed the pictured appetizers, atmosphere and music. Food was quite tasty and one dish ample for 2 people along with appetizers. Not to be missed and we will become regulars for sure !

This place when pulling up in the parking lot it throws you off because of location from the side view! Walking up to the front door it’s very nice the dining area was very nice as well!

Rooster is truly a hidden gem with some of the best food around. Everything is always fresh, the place is clean, and the quality is consistently impressive. They also serve the best sushi around—fresh, well-made, and full of flavor.
The menu has plenty of variety, and the prices are very reasonable for the quality you get. We visit often, and every time we leave happy. Highly recommended!

Great little sushi place kind of hidden in the corner of a shopping plaza. Nice ambiance with a plentiful selection of non-sushi items as well as one of the best sushi menus around. Sushi chef is spot on with good portion sizes for rolls and sashimi. I have ordered the poke bowl here twice and enjoyed both immensely. Custom order poke bowls with all fresh veggie, salad, rice and a plethora of add ons. Very satifying meal and always enjoy listening yo their jazz selections on the stereo. Great place to take a date or wife for quiet and romantic dinner. Highly recommended!

Rooster Thai Sushi is a hidden gem in New Port Richey! I originally found them just by Googling “sushi near me” and was drawn in by the amazing reviews—and they did not disappoint.
The sushi was fresh and delicious with a huge selection, including vegetarian options. I also ordered the ramen noodle soup (the main reason I came) and it was everything I hoped for—absolutely perfect! My husband had the poke bowl and devoured it (just a little warning if you don’t like jalapeños ).
We also enjoyed hot sake, which was excellent, and they have a great variety of both hot and cold options to choose from.
A big thank you to our waitress, Grace, who was incredibly sweet, attentive, and had the best personality—she really made our date night extra special.
We will absolutely be back!

This place is SO good. The sushi was amazing and you could tell everything was fresh. I got the tuna lover roll and the crispy spring rolls. Both were absolutely delicious. I would’ve taken pictures but I practically inhaled it. Can’t wait to eat here again.

I tried a little bit of a lot of things. Sushi was fresh. It tasted great. Went a little bit overboard, but you should never leave the sushi table without being full! I might go back tomorrow!
