Excellent service, atmosphere, and food! I agree with others’ comments that this is a ‘secret’ of sorts in York. We really enjoyed our dinner, especially the lobster bisque special. Their drinks are great as well as the desserts, too. Entree was cooked just right for my pork.

We had an excellent Easter dinner at the Roosevelt Tavern. It was a buffet with New York strip steak, Ham, Shrimp and much more. It was so nice sitting down at a table with a tablecloth (white) and cotton napkins. Thanks for keeping that much missed detail alive. Dessert were also top notch. Lemon Blueberry cake was the best I’ve ever tasted. Finally the service was excellent. Very attention and knowledgeable on menu.

Although I didn’t dine at Roosevelt Tavern as a regular guest, I gave it five stars based on the food served at a wedding reception I attended there. The reception menu was impressive—the beef dish received rave reviews from my tablemate, and even though I don’t eat beef, I thoroughly enjoyed the chicken, salad, and mashed potatoes. Everything was delicious! The restaurant’s ambiance was comfortable, and it seamlessly accommodated over 50 guests for the event. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I highly recommend Roosevelt Tavern.

So great. We were able to make reservations using Google chat which was really nice. The French onion and the Sriracha chicken bites were a great way to start. I had a old fashioned with Woodford, but noticed two fellows enjoying some Manhattan’s, so I switched to those and they do a great job with a Knob Creek Manhattan. We had the Filet, Crab Cake, and bone in Ribeye special. Everything was fantastic. The parking is behind the restaurant and is very well lit.

The good was all expertly crafted and delicious. Some of the appetizers seemed to err towards experimental and might not be for everyone but overall you can taste that they execute on quality components for good compositions.

Great atmosphere and customer service. Went with a group and most said their food was “Good…it just [insert coulda/woulda/shoulda]” To us, they missed the mark. We’d certainly try again and other guests have enjoyed Roosevelt previously and spoke highly of prior visits. My wife ordered the seafood fettuccine which lacked some flavor/spice. My Cluckin’ Chicken sandwich was ok, just didn’t stand out.

This was my first time here in years and years and I seriously regret it being that long. Everything was 10/10. My server Ryan gave a few fantastic recommendations. I wasn’t planning on ordering pork but was sooo glad I did. Paired perfectly with the sweet potato purée. French onion soup was spot on and hearty with onions and the deserts were the perfect end cap to the meal. Can’t wait to be back to try other amazing things on the menu. Great job to your team. Job well done

First experience here missed the mark for us which is a shame because it’s so close to our home. There are very few choices for vegetarians. So, my wife was stuck with one choice for an entrée, which was okay – not great. It tasted like any generic Olive Garden pasta dish, but more expensive. My real disappointment was firmly on my steak dinner – “The Cowboy (something).” I asked for medium and it came pretty close but it was flavorless and bit too much char. The house steak sauce was similar to an A-1 sauce with something added to it. And unfortunately, 30% of the steak was fat and gristle. The mashed potatoes tasted pretty decent, but presentation-wise, looked a mess. And finally, the asparagus was wildly overcooked, limp, and bitter. I don’t mind paying $50+ for a dinner that shines, but sadly, this one did not. The server was friendly, polite, and attentive and did very well. The atmosphere seemed a bit pretentious and you can literally smell the age of the room. Like, old musty wood. Overall, it’s definitely overpriced for what they deliver. Not sure we’ll be back anytime soon.
