Rooftop was a lot of fun.
Now, as far as the actual “rooftop”… let’s just say you get a nice view of a fence and the backside of some other buildings.
Other than that, Rooftop was great. The DJ was awesome, and I loved their light show and overall vibes. The bartenders (inside and outside) were cool, but I wasn’t particularly impressed with their selection of beers.
All-in-all, Rooftop was a fun, upbeat, college bar that I’ll definitely return to when I’m in the right mood!

I normally dont post bad ratings about places, but I head here and they wouldnt let in me because I didnt have a state ID. I tried offering all my identifications (passport) and the only thing they would say is “your options are heading somewhere else”. It was rude, he wouldnt say anything else and It was very anoying after waiting in a long line. Disrespectful and shocking

Went here tonight and we waited two hours to get upstairs only to get upstairs and it’s dead. Looks like they’re leaving the upstairs empty and keeping the wait long to get people to pay to skip the line. DJ was good.

Rooftop’s atmosphere is always top notch, the staff is always super respectful and I can always plan on having a good night here. Also, the food is one of the best in five points!

The music was great.The atmosphere was great. However, the bartender decided to tip himself $6 from my debit card for what looked a shot glass of a lemon drop. Who does that? I was going to call to complain only to find out they don’t have a phone!! WTH! If you go, pay with cash & only cash!!!

I came in for the first time this past Saturday 04/19/2025. Iv never been a bars/clubs person as they are not my scene. I had fun that night I ordered 3 drinks.
3 tequila shots that from my understanding after asking what the cheapest shots were cost 4$.
I had my first shot at 9:32pm which from my receipt only cost 4.60 after tax. I explained and apologized to Zach the bartender(person I’m assuming who’s name it is on my receipt) that unfortunately I wasn’t able to tip as I didn’t have much money ( I only had 15$ to my name as I have school things to take care of, I’m on a budget but I wanted to have fun that night so I purchased for That whole night 3 tequila shots.)
I had fun that night but I did not have fun finding out days later that he tipped himself $6 extra dollars (money I didn’t have as I’m a broke college student) as I put on all 3 receipts 0.00 for tip. And the total only being $4.60. On a $4 drink he tipped himself 6$ that’s 150% gratuity…
To my knowledge that night I was only spending $13.80. But after being overdrawn it ended up cost me an extra $41 money that I still don’t have as I’m on a fixed student income…
(6$ fee+$35 overdraw fee)
If he did this to me that night hes probably did it to multiple people and that is what robbery in broad daylight looks like.
Good thing I keep my records but this is theft. You can’t tip yourself and not face any consequences. That’s just crazy to do… especially after someone explains to you that they’re not able to tip do to being a broke college student.
I learned my lesson not to trust these places,. I never had anything like this happen to me back home in Hawaii.
I don’t recommend this place unless you’re trying to robbed.

100% the best bar in Five Points, probably in all of Columbia. Music is always great, service is fast, food and drinks are top notch. The outside patio is an awesome addition for a more laid back vibe. Overall one of my absolute favorite places to go for a night out!!

Definitely the best atmosphere in 5 points. This bar has two floors both with DJs every night as well as a chill upstairs patio with a great view of Columbia. The food is so good I consider going there just to eat on the nights I don’t want to go out. The bar staff is fast and fun and the door staff is always professional while making sure everyone is safe at all times. Alex Raine, the owner, is also the nicest guy I’ve ever met. I always have a great time here!

Me and my brother was denied entry yesterday night because the guy at the front said because we have neck tattoos we weren’t allowed inside. Be mindful me and my brother walking around the country for foster kids and also make music so we have been all over the country and I never heard of this before. Then he said if I had a hoodie or something I would’ve been fine. I honestly never had anyone tell me that before.
