1st time here: loved the atmosphere and the view of the city.

Service was amazing by Stephanie, she was very knowledgeable and upbeat.

The teriyaki cauliflower was truly one of the best appetizers I have ever had. The crab dip was very good.

The grilled shrimp salad was a great choice and the dressing was very tasty.

The birthday desserts were amazing and greatly appreciated.

The entire staff along with the management team were very accommodating and made our visit to RI a great one.

Thank you and we will be back again!!

The Rooftop at the Providence G is such a fun spot in the city! ✨ The atmosphere is lively yet comfortable, with great views and a trendy vibe that makes it perfect for cocktails, dinner, or just a night out with friends.

We loved the mix of small bites and entrées — everything was fresh, flavorful, and well-presented. The cocktails were creative and delicious, and the staff kept the energy upbeat and welcoming throughout the night.

What makes this place special is the vibe: open-air rooftop dining with cozy seating and a great balance between chic and casual. Whether you’re visiting Providence or a local looking for a night out, it’s definitely worth checking out.

The staff is very friendly and welcoming from the time you walk through the building doors. We rode the elevator with a worker who was going down and asked if it was ok to ride down then up which of course and they were so pleasant. Once we got off the elevator the hosting staff was equally pleasant and accommodating because it was a last minute thing so I didn’t make a reservation.

Service Overall 10/10:
The waitress immediately asked if we were celebrating and we just happened to be celebrating getting engaged. She brought over a celebratory drink and we both love bubbly lol. The managers came over separate times and congratulated us, checked on things and offered to take pictures if we wanted. Before we left we did because it was a beautiful sunset.

Food Overall 9/10:
Roni Pizza
Tuna Tartare
Rooftop Burger (The Fries were delicious)

Drinks Overall 10/10:
White Tea Peach Bellini
The Perennial

Atmosphere Overall 6/10:
The music could definitely be better. This is a great space but for the first half the music was all over the place. They would benefit from a curated mix.

I will definitely be visiting again.

My girlfriend & I went on a celebratory date here for my promotion. We check out a lot of different restaurants so we decided to give this one a shot. Complimentary Valet parking was amazing! Then you head inside a hotel, take the elevator & when the door opens it’s like you’re in a different world. We came right at 4 (right when they open) and we got a super nice seat on the patio next to the fire. Our server John (also the manager!!) was so kind, gave us recommendations & 10/10 service . THE FOOD IS AMAZING. We quite literally ate every bite. Mocktails were wonderful. Definitely going to check out the night vibe, John told us they have a DJ on the weekends!

$16 drinks in plastic cups. An espresso martini on a plastic cup?! Dirty tables. Was not offered a drink menu upon approaching the bar and was barely acknowledged despite the bar being completely empty.

Saturday night and the place is empty. Oh and the bathrooms are horrendously dirty. Would expect more from an upscale place.

We had a very disappointing experience here on Valentine’s Day.
We arrived on time for our 8:00 PM reservation and still waited 15 minutes to be seated, which already set a frustrating tone for the night. Once seated, we learned the menu was fixed courses only, something that was never communicated in advance. Many tables around us were visibly confused as well.
The price was $100 per person, which would have been fine if the food and service justified it — but it absolutely did not. We ordered the bacon-wrapped filet, which arrived lukewarm, and the bacon was an unappetizing gray color.
I had informed the staff of my food allergy when we arrived. Normally, I avoid fixed menus for this exact reason. Other tables with allergies received plates clearly marked for dietary restrictions — mine did not. This left me unsure whether my meal was safe to eat, which is unacceptable.
Service throughout the night was extremely uncoordinated. There was about a 20-minute gap between the second and third courses, and we were left sitting and waiting multiple times. Our reservation was at 8:00 PM, and we didn’t leave until around 10:30–10:45 PM, simply because everything took so long.
Even paying the check and receiving our to-go dessert was an ordeal, the waitress seemed confused that we hadn’t received it yet.
The atmosphere was also uncomfortable. It was clear the restaurant had rented extra furniture to pack in more tables. The chairs and tables were rickety, cramped, and uncomfortable, which only added to the overall frustration.
Our total bill came to almost $300 with tip. For the quality of food, service, and atmosphere, that price is atrocious and left us feeling taken advantage of.
The only reason this isn’t a 1-star review is because the staff themselves were kind, but kindness doesn’t make up for how poorly this night was executed.
We will not be returning.

The Rooftop hosted a truly amazing and memorable corporate party this holiday season. Every detail was beautifully executed, and our team had a wonderful time enjoying the warm ambiance of the fire features/city lights, delicious food, and outstanding cocktails. The staff working the event were kind, efficient, and attentive.

The planning process was seamless from start to finish. I was extremely grateful for the support and communication of the Providence G Team. This event was a tremendous success! Highly recommend hosting your next event at the Rooftop!

Please revise ur menu, it needs a little variety and flavor. I’ve been here twice, my mistake for going here a second time. The ambiance is alright, I think unless you’re going for the rooftop bonfire pit there’s no point of going to this restaurant. Very basic menu, I’m allergic to red meat but eat everything else and I still couldn’t find anything good to eat.

My wife and I have a very special connection to this restaurant as we had our first date here back in 2019, and later even held our wedding here in 2022. Because of that, this place holds real sentimental value for us.

We came here for Valentine’s Day but unfortunately when we were seated, we were informed that the menu was prix fixe only. There had been no prior mention of this when making the reservation. Even our waitress—who was kind and professional—acknowledged that it may have been poor planning not to communicate that ahead of time. It seems they simply could’ve called reservations in advance to let them know.

Being told at the table that our only option was a $200+ prix fixe menu was frustrating, especially because several items included were things my wife is highly allergic to. Had we known in advance, we would have made different plans.

This was disappointing given how meaningful this place is to us. It nearly ruined the night as we were going to a concert after so finding another place for food was difficult. The frustration leaves me questioning if I’d return

Horrible. Went there for Valentine’s Day. On the website it said there was 2 menus and that we were able to choose from it like a regular restaurant. When we got there they only offered 1 menu and it was $100 minimum. The waitress was called darling and she was very nice but when she brought the check over we didn’t go for it right away because we were talking and she looks at us and says “do you want to pay right now so you guys can leave quick” like was that her way of kicking us out? Because it sure felt like it. The food was very good but they messed up the order of our food. We were supposed to get the main meal which was a pork chop and the girl dropped off our dessert. They are on top of you the whole time but when we have a question or a concern they are not around. Many people were confused about the menu because it was so poorly explained. Little to none at all. There was a pregnant lady next to us and she brought up how there was certain things she could not eat and she didn’t want to pay the 100 dollars bc she wouldn’t be able to eat the things and the girl from the front desk told her she couldn’t do anything about it and she could try to discount but she wasn’t sure. Like ok let’s just give this pregnant lady food she can’t eat just bc. So yeah, def not going back. Also; they don’t offer parking. You need to pay and then when you get there and you pay they say you get 50% off if you parked on the garage downstairs but they only tell you after you are on the restaurant? Makes no sense but ok.
