A solid diner for breakfast. We visit state college a lot between alumni stuff, kids going to Penn state and just loving it in. happy valley. Found Rony’s thru google search. Service was good. Typical diner menu and very affordable.

Decent food with great customer service. Very home like in atmosphere.

I visited the place as a passerby looking for breakfast. There are four regulars there despite being 8 AM on a Saturday morning. The owner was very courteous and friendly.

Well….this was the first time we were there. I called and ordered food for take out. I had asked if their chicken parmigiana was breaded, she said yes. So I ordered it. When I got home, I opened the container to see 3 chicken fingers on the bottom of the container, which had soaked up all of the water from the pasta, the pasta was water logged and had no flavor. Needless to say, I wasted 11 bucks on something I didn’t even eat. I took one bite and was done. The chicken fingers were not appealing in anyway. You should NEVER put the chicken on the bottom of pasta at all. Everyone knows this. I wont be ordering there anymore. And it sucks cause it is like a 3 min drive from our house. And this picture doesn’t show how bad it was, but you can see the water along the lip of the container and you can imagine how bad it was. Also, they need to have more than one person working on a Friday night at 530pm.

Ordered a small stromboli. Came without any sauce to dip it in and hard as a rock. No joke broke my knife.

This is just a solid place to eat. They have good down-home cooking with great quality at a decent price. I don’t get the impression they are trying to be anything other than what they are. Which to me is a good old-fashioned central PA-style diner. This place is one of my top local go-to restaurants.

First time ordering from here… menu has a huge selection of diner type foods. We ordered a variety of sandwiches and hoagies for 6 people. The food was ready quickly and was delicious! Would definitely recommend.

Last time we were here was great! Prompt service, great food. This time we are one of two tables. It’s been 35 minutes and we still haven’t been served our food. Not sure why the service is so inconsistent, but it’s very disappointing.

The food is okay….. The staff are young teenagers that need a lesson on what not to talk about in front of customers. But they are young yet so that will come with time. It is a family owned local business so it is worth supporting but it is not a very peaceful dining experience because there are usually small children running around and being noisy. ( I have children myself so I get it ) but to me, there needs to be some sort of separation with business and home life. This just isn’t a place I’d like to go to have a quite meal. Take out is usually the route I take here.
