First, I don’t usually leave reviews, but my experience was so bad I decided to leave a review to give others a heads up. We paid almost $70, the burgers were sloppy, smashed and not tasty at all. The fries were so burnt that we ended up just throwing them away after paying 6.85 each, for a regular size fry. The pineapple shake was made with A LOT of pineapple syrup. Although I didn’t ask for it specifically, in my experience, restaurants usually use the crushed pineapple topping to make shakes. We waited over 20 (closer to 25) minutes to get food we didn’t even end up finishing because it just wasn’t good. The chicken sandwich was a super thick piece of really dry ciabatta with a really thin, also burnt, piece of chicken. Do not recommend, and will not be going back, not even for ice cream. The guy at the window wasn’t terrible, but he definitely has absolutely no customer service skills at all; no “please”, “thank you”, “have a good day”, nothing. Not even a friendly tone. We won’t be going back.

It’s not as good as it used to be. We ordered cheeseburgers fries lemonade and a water. The guy didn’t hear me say water, or the second fry. Almost 40.00 for 2 burgers 1 fry 1 medium drink and ranch. When we got our order I asked about the water he has a look of huh? Said he didn’t hear the water and needed to charge me for it. The ranch had a strange tartar sauce like flavor not sure if we were charged for it or if it was included he didn’t give me a receipt. The buns were dry crumbled made a mess in my car. Had a glob of mayo in a couple spots between that and all the lettuce it was hard to taste the burger patty. This place used to really good for burgers and ice cream. Fry portions used to be bigger. Seems they’re on the shrink-flation trend. Quality has gone down here. Can’t speak for the ice cream it used to be the go to spot in the summer. Probably stick to just ice cream next time if they don’t charge for every little topping. The menu said add 2.60 or something for toppings. Not my favorite place anymore.

• The cheeseburger and fries were enjoyable and met expectations.
• The Sprite was fresh and balanced the meal well.
• The fry sauce, however, was disappointing. It had an unusual fishy taste that made it unappetizing.
Overall, the meal itself was good, but I would not recommend the fry sauce. Improving or replacing the fry sauce would elevate the experience. Customer service was great.

Rons opens at 11 on Saturdays. I went at 11:45 and waited at the drive thru window for over 5 minutes and was never acknowledged. There were no other customers.
For a small business with relatively high prices compared to other similar establishments, you’d think they’d appreciate the business. Save your money and go somewhere that wants you to be there.

When I travel, I like to eat at the local, small diners & drive ins. I was wanting a burger & tots, as I headed thru. They were WAY too pricey for me to have the burger ($15 to $18) & tots (an additional like $5). I ended up having a large ice cream….there was easily one and a half pints on that cone. Hands down, the largest standing cone I’ve ever personally seen..(or eaten )..it was well worth the $5. The guy was pretty friendly & obviously a talented cone creator! I’m sure they’re burgers are great….but…travel budgets are real..lol…Next time, I’ll know to up the budget & i’ll definitely give em another try 🙂

If I could give zero stars I would Customer service sucks!! I ordered 2 marshmallow sundays and got 2 marshmallow shakes and when I told me we asked for Sunday’s he stated that we asked for shakes and stayed quiet didn’t offer to fix it… so I came home and called and I explained what happens and was hung up on!!!

Grew up in yakima and have been coming to Ron’s since the 90s when the little old lady owned it. Ice cream has always been delicious. I still come to Ron’s every time we come back in town but the last times we’ve come either the ice cream machines are broken or the ice cream is falling off the cones. Last time we came to Ron’s the ice cream fell off the cone as soon as we drove off, my husband caught it, reversed and asked for a cup. The guy at the windows looked annoyed that we asked for a cup and let us know that next time it would be extra for the cup. Mind you this had never happened before, as a kid it never happened. Also the service isn’t very friendly, everytime we come here the men at the window seem to hate life working their. I miss the old owners, the little old lady was always so sweet.
