We eat here regularly. The food is consistently good but can be pretty messy. They have a variety of burgers, chili and chicken. The root beer in frosted glasses is fun to order (but put a napkin underneath to soak up the drips). A small order of fries is enough for 2 people. Service is okay but can be inconsistent.

We ordered the bacon cheeseburger. What a disappointment! It’s a cheeseburger with bacon bits. Not strips or even pieces. It was a glob of chewy bacon bits. No thank you, never again. They did do a good job on the tater tots. There was one guy at the bar on our table of two. Waitress was terrible. Not friendly or attentive. The restaurant itself was clean and pleasant.

Ron’s is a local favorite – fresh food and great prices on everything. The staff is always friendly and attentive. My favorites are the Spanish fries, fried pickles, and fried chicken. If you live nearby, you’ll grow to love Ron’s.

The best burger that we have had in the Houston area. This is a traditional Mom and pop burger joint in old magnolia and not crazy busy. By far the best thing we ordered was the Ron special burger. The onion rings were nice and crisp and the chili was good. I recommend adding all the extras to the chili cause It brings it all together. I wish they had shakes on their menu! It was a good experience and will be going again.

Hubby had Ron’s Special, I had a chili cheeseburger combo but upgraded the fries to Spanish fries. Wow! Soooo delicious! Oh, and I had a root beer that was served in a frozen mug! Yum! We will be back and bring friends.

Food was fine for this type of venue and price point. A stack of cups were knocked on the floor accidentally by the staff and placed back up to be used by customers. I was a little disappointed to see that. Overall, OK experience.
