I really wish I could give a 5 star review…but, That cooking oil was dirty and it made the food taste bad. Y’all I had to throw their brown fries away because they were soaked in dirty brown fish grease. Worst part about it is my order was a remake because our first order a few days earlier was also cooked in dirty grease so they agreed to redo the whole order. I guess the oil must always be dirty, yuck. No long wait time, just dirty grease and too salty food. Come on now Ronnie’s, we’re expecting better.

At this time, customers are not permitted to stay in the lobby. After placing your order, you are asked to wait in your car and return in approximately 20 minutes. I returned a little earlier than expected, and when I went back inside, the staff member who assistedw me seemed slightly rude when asking what I needed.
Despite that interaction, overall it was a good experience. The quality of the food made the visit worthwhile.

I JUST had the catfish from this location tonight, Feb 20th, 2026, only because someone else paid for it. Yall need to be stopped. This is NOT REAL Catfish what yall are selling. This is Basa or swai fish. I NEVER eat catfish from any place in Dallas EXCEPT Pappadeaux I wait till I go to Louisiana and get my catfish and this is one of the reasons. Yall are selling imitations and I can put my life on it that this isn’t real catfish. I’m not knocking your business but me personally I would NEVER eat from here again, even if someone else paid for it. I was just hungry. But yall need to be honest with people and tell them what they are really eating. Yall are selling anything to our people and they are falling for it. That’s why I go home to Louisiana and get my Gulf shrimp and fresh catfish and bring back to Texas.

I called over and over to place an order for lunch they never answer the phones. I literally have to drive here and waste my whole lunch also, they need to use gloves when handling and preparing food and practice sanitation the young man grabbed his phone texted and started back cooking that’s crossed contamination. Oh they answering today because the owners truck in the back. Please make sure everyone is washing hands constantly customers pay attention to this. Overall the fish is amazing. The new gentleman wears one gloves and never changes it he goes outside take order touches the door handle and goes rite back to cooking and he put no seasoning on the fish the grease taste burnt. I’m done with this location.

This location accepted an elderly woman’s order in a nursing home on Christmas Eve at 5:08 pm. The pick up time was 5:35 pm their website said they were closing at 8:30 pm when we arrived to pick up the food at 6:00 pm the place was completely shut down. We called to have her $54.00 credited back to her card the manager told us that the fish sat for two hours. The was not true this is a business in a low income area and has had success from the local community for years but on Christmas Eve they lost the faith and business of this customer! Greedy business!

I love this place.. i really do! I been eating Ronnie’s since a kid and this hurt my heart. I ordered a 2 piece fillet and feel like i just got the breading – no meat . Idk if the South Dallas location is getting the bad fish or what but it’s the second time my food has been subpar smh
