I’ve been here a few times and haven’t left disappointed or hungry. They have daily lunch specials and po-boys. Thursday is bbq Friday is fish. Both are really good. The lunches are served with 2 sides and rice dressing (boudin). Prices are reasonable and you get a good bit for the price. Today I got the pork steak, easily could make 2 meals out of it, for 8.50 plus drink. I definitely recommend Ronnies!

Ronnie’s has ruined me!! I really don’t want anyone else’s boudin in Baton Rouge. His is meaty, not too spicy and SMOKED! Some other places may have good boudin, but IMHO it ain’t in Baton Rouge. However, they are KILLING me with these new hours. Please bring back your regular hours.

I was told by the employee that they didn’t serve lunches or dinner plates anymore with a condescending or demeaning attitude. And that is actually a shame because I had Great expectations for their restaurant because of the reviews that I have read. I bought the crackling.

The chicken cracklins are amazing. You have to try them if you come here. Two scoops were 8.55, and a pound cost 20. Got two links of boudin for 6 bucks and a shrimp po-boy. The boudin was good but the po-boy was meh. I feel for the price of 11.50 it should come with something, it was very basic wouldn’t buy it again. The service was great the girl that helped me was very nice and walked me through everything.
