I had seen the og Roni’s in Texas all over my tiktok and was dying to try this place. It was delicious! I love being able to mix and match and try different mac combos. Everything was delicious. It was surprisingly pretty slow when we went but overall I was impressed and would go again.

Recommended by several people. My daughter was super excited about Mac and cheese. I was a little skeptical about putting Mac and cheese on a grilled cheese sandwich but it was perfect with pepper jack, bacon, and buffalo sauce. My only complaint is there is no diaper changing table in the bathroom. Not family friendly in that aspect!

Loved the grilled cheese and mac & cheese at Roni’s! First time here. Had a grilled cheese with mac, brisket, and a few toppings. It was fantastic! Excellent meat, great flavors, the perfect mix of toppings! The only flaw was they put the wrong drizzle on my wife’s mac, and there was very little chicken. But beyond that mistake, the food was excellent and worth a return visit!

Food was great and it was also awesome that they have an option to have broccoli n’ cheese, grilled cheese, and Mac n’ cheese. Definitely worth it if you are craving some comfort food and something extra cheesy.

First time trying this place and it was so good! You can build your own Mac and cheese bowl! I got Alfredo sauce, bacon, topped with Parmesan cheese and breadcrumbs and drizzled with Parmesan garlic sauce! It was amazing! My toddler also loved it! I will definitely be back!

I was super excited to try their food as I’ve seen their social media all over back east. It was good but way over hyped. I ordered a basic Mac and cheese with chicken, and double chicken with breadcrumbs and Parmesan on top. That extra chicken was 4$ and there was maybe a quarter cup of diced chicken on top. I honestly couldn’t believe it. The chicken alone was half the cost of the bowl I was expecting a good heaping portion of it on top. Talk about a great profit margin. They are an okay price for no meat and loading it with toppings. The restaurant itself was somewhat dirty which is kind of crazy for how new it is. And the staff member didn’t say a single word even when I asked for a water cup. Just handed it to me with a blank stare. I wanted to really have a good experience but overall it was just okay.

My updated review: Look, if this is your thing who am I to judge. The tough thing is that we all have different tastes and I just thought it was a lot to charge for a very processed concoction of noodles and cheese and random toppings. The employees were really out of it when I went and the whole thing had a strong Subway, mass consumption, assembly line, ultra processed feel. But I know there is a market for this and ultimately I like to see restaurants trying new things. So I wrote this updated review when the owner responded to lighten up a little bit. This wasn’t my thing, I didn’t enjoy it, and all I’m saying is know what you are getting into before you invest. If you are wanting a home cooked macaroni taste and texture and upbeat service like I was, this may not be for you. But I won’t judge if this is right up your alley.

My wife and I were excited they were opening a location in Utah. We visited the original Waco location and loved it. However, we were kind of disappointed during this visit.
We split our payment between a gift card and credit card at the kiosk, and it took forever to load (it was actually still loading when we left the store). After having a few people come in, order, and get their receipt while we were waiting, we ended up flagging down one of the employees, who explained this happened sometimes with gift cards, and helped us check out at the counter.
The store wasn’t super busy (maybe 7 people in the lobby, including my wife and I), so we sat down and waited for our food. We ended up waiting for 30 minutes, and watched 2 other groups that got there after we ordered get their food, before I had to go up to the counter and ask where our food was. The employees had no record of us ordering. They actually had to take our receipt to make our order because they didn’t have our orders in the system. “So sorry” is all they could say.
When we finally got the food (being in the restaurant upwards of 45 minutes at this point), it was good. They packed it to go instead of dine-in like we ordered. I wish they put more pulled pork on my bowl, considering they charge an extra $2 for it, and there wasn’t a lot. Other than that, it tasted great, just like the original.
Disappointed in the service and time spent. It kind of ruined the experience for me.
