I’ve visited this restaurant several times now, and while the food usually delivers, the service leaves a lot to be desired.
Let’s start with the positives: stir-fried Lobster with Butter & Garlic, has consistently impressed me. The flavor is rich and good, and the lobster is always cooked just right. It’s definitely a go-to dish for me and has never disappointed. Most of the other dishes I’ve tried here have been pretty good as well. The flavors are generally bold and good. It’s clear the kitchen knows what they’re doing when it comes to cooking seafood. The only dish that didn’t hit the mark for me was the Stir-fried Lobster in Tamarined Sauce—it just didn’t work for my taste, with the sauce overpowering the natural flavor of the lobster.
Unfortunately, the service is where things really fall short. The staff is not very attentive, and on more than one occasion, I’ve had to wait too long just to get someone’s attention. One particular experience stands out: I asked for a 4–5 pound lobster, and when they said they didn’t have that size, I told them I’d pass on it. Instead of being understanding, the woman taking the order gave me attitude and didn’t return to our table at all after that. That kind of behavior really takes away from what could be a great overall experience.

While in San Jose, we get into a Mall with multiple restaurants, we decided to go on this one cause we were looking for chow main style and Wonton Soup . The food was amazing and the customer service as well. We also order Thai-Chicken Chomein to go. Very good

A great Vietnamese lunch spot in the center of the Little Saigon area. Service here was fine – nothing out of the ordinary for a viet restaurant. The portions are really good, and the side soup came with meat, which is something I don’t typically see when ordering a noodle/rice meat plate. They also had very good calamari, and had very classic tasting Vietnamese iced coffee. Lots of seating available, and doesn’t seem to get too busy. Good spot to dine in for Viet food overall.

When you walk in, they will greet you and sit you anywhere. There are a plastic wall fence to pritect you and others. The menu have a small section for breakfast and lunch but the dinner section is huge. What I ordered was Stir-friend whelks in tamarind sauce, soft shell crab with butter, and 2 pc roti quail. They tastes like how I remembered when I was little. Would recommend 11/10!

We picked 2 orders of (2 nguoi (A) for 4 adults and 3 kids. We also called some more dishes. The food were yummy and plenty for us. I like their canh Chua (sour fish soup). They have us free chè, Vietnamese dessert. And that was pretty good too.

We ordered many dishes, majority of them taste good, but we did found a small piece of metal sponge while drinking the soup (that’s something kind of bad to be found in food)…

– Fried Chicken (we didn’t know it came standard spicy and waitress didn’t ask if we want none spicy for the kids), then we had to order a second one and make sure it doesn’t have spice in it.

One of the few places where you can grab congee for breakfast.

I can’t remember the exact name, but we got the congee with the chicken salad, which was like steamed chicken with ginger on top of shredded cabbage and another leafy green. Comes with a red sauce on the side.

Really enjoyed the texture of the congee, reminds me of Thai jok using broken rice.

Just your average place. Nothing special at all. We had maybe 6 or 7 entrees and the flavor was just mediocre.
The bo luc lac was pretty disappointing.
