I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank the co-owner for his astoundingly amazing and honest recommendations, and the unbelievable service, and quality that I received at the Romeos Springfield, Ohio location.
Recently, I had been hearing a lot of positive chatter, both online, and in local advertisements, about Romeos. So, I decided yesterday to take the plunge, and see for myself if it was worth the hype. Folks, please trust me when I say, “Yes, indeed it was worth ALL the hype, and so much more!!
I can proudly say that our family now has a new favorite Go-to pizza establishment. The Deep Dish was my all time favorite. It was stuffed with onions, pepperoni, mushrooms, peppers, and sausage. My big boys loved the Butcher Block. The cheesebread and Italian Sub was an added bonus, too. I implore anyone who has been sitting on the fence, and waiting for the perfect time to try Romeos, to wait no longer. Also, the service that I received from the co-owner goes unmatched. He was extremely patient, and took his time to ensure that I would be pleased with my order. He went far above and beyond the call of duty, and I promise to be a regular returning customer. Scouts honor✌️

I just received my 3rd order from here. My first order of 2 pizzas was out of this world good! We were excited to order again and try more food. We got a sandwich, the stuffed bread and wings. It was good, definitely not as fresh or hot but I’m a distance away so I will give the benefit of the doubt there. I’m betting pizza bags are not being used. I also did not receive the extra sauces I ordered which is so annoying to me. Third order tonight, pizza and wings. Good, not as hot again as the first time. Wings are quality and good. I again did not receive my extra sauces. I took one star for it. I will order again, I guess I won’t be about to order sauces since that is money wasted. Please pay attention to customers orders, we pay the money for them because we want them. I’m down 5 bucks and it’s annoying. Ensure driver are using pizza bags! It definitely makes a BIG difference.

Fantastic deep dish pizza. They’ll deliver ten miles away, which I did not expect! They’ll deliver pizza was DELICIOUS!! Their sauce is sweet and tangy. Killer sauce. They also included this Capone sauce which was a really nice treat. I also ordered breadsticks that were half with bacon and half plain. I can’t believe they did that. Most places won’t do that for you. The breadsticks were incredible with the marinara, ranch and the Capone sauce. I’ll be back for another trip here next time I’m in town. Killer spot.

Most of the time I really like the food but when they do screw up, they royally screw up. I waited 2 1/2 hours to get my pizza the other day and they gave me a credit to my account which I planned on using today when I called to use it, they tell me they’ve let somebody else get my credit yesterday. They oughta know me by now. I order so much from them, I’m done with Romeo‘s pizza because my experience the other day that I received the credit for was awful. The worst experience I’ve ever had and it wasn’t made right. My warning to Everybody is to check your food before the driver pulls off and if they tell you, they’re giving you a credit don’t believe them.

I’m from out of town and I was looking for a good pizza place. I picked this one because it had the most stars. I ordered the Tuscan pepperoni with regular marinara. It hit the spot. I didn’t try anything else but I was pleased with the pizza.

Romeo’s Pizza has completely won me over. From the moment I walked in, the staff was friendly and welcoming. I ordered their signature pepperoni pizza, and it was hands down one of the best I’ve ever had—crispy crust, perfectly melted cheese, and that signature sweet sauce? Chef’s kiss. You can tell they use quality ingredients and put real care into their food.
The service was fast, the place was clean, and everything tasted fresh and flavorful. Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or ordering for a party, Romeo’s delivers—literally and figuratively. Highly recommend to any pizza lover. I’ll definitely be back (probably way too often)!

The “large” pizza was more like a medium. For a $15 cheese pizza, I expected more. Half the pizza was crust. The crust was VERY chewy… so chewy my jaw hurts after eating a couple pieces. The pizza was burnt. The taste kinda reminds me of Chuck E Cheese’s pizza. It came with a “Capone sauce” which was a super buttery-flavored buffalo soybean oil sauce. While it wasn’t the worst pizza I’ve ever had in Springfield, I won’t be ordering there again. Pretty disappointing. I’ll continue driving across town to Short Stop to get a pizza twice as large, for a couple bucks cheaper. I honestly don’t know how this place has managed a 4.6 star review. The only positive I’ll give it was how quick the pickup time was.

So far I’ve only delivered for Romeo’s a couple times, but I think they deserve this 5 stars for a couple reasons.
First, they’ve always been fast and friendly when I’m picking up an order. Having worked a variety of food service jobs, I like to think I can get a good feel about a place just from seeing and hearing the kitchen work a bit and this place has the pleasant feeling of a place where things are running right.
Second, and why it’s personally notable for going above and beyond: they gave me a pizza bag! Doordash gives drivers a small hot bag they call a pizza bag. Having previously (and again soon) delivered for Domino’s, I know what a proper pizza bag is. I’d been explaining the issue to my wife, how it was frustrating not having an actual pizza bag that can actually hold pizzas. And then yesterday I go to pick up a small order which would have fit awkwardly in the small bag (have to use the bag on its side to fit even a personal pizza and larges stick out the bag), and the employee gave me a full sized Doordash pizza bag!
This makes a huge difference, as it’s far easier to transport pizzas with the right one and it helps keep them warm. I had multiple deliveries for other places where I really needed it, so they went above-and-beyond doing that to improve the service for everyone.
I had a tip set aside as thanks the next time I’m in (planning to stop by tomorrow before starting a dash) but wanted to at least leave a review explaining how much it meant to start. Even if Doordash is providing the bags, it’s still this place and no other which chose to take the extra moment to give it out, at least in my experience from my first 100 deliveries.
Thank you to the whole crew for always being so fast and friendly! There are a lot of restaurants which are pretty good to drivers, but this was definitely very above-and-beyond and I very deeply appreciate the assist.
