Relaxed cafe serving an extensive menu of Mediterranean-influenced fare plus wine.

Lunch at the Euro Cafe in downtown Gilbert was absolutely delightful. The service was excellent. The wine options were abundant, although it was lunch, so I didn’t imbibe; I just enjoyed a refreshing cucumber water. I also enjoyed a salad with a creamy feta dressing. My friend absolutely loved the fresh bread. All of the produce in the salad was exceptionally fresh. Our next course was fettuccini served with vegetables in lemon sauce, which was also exceptional. It was perfectly seasoned. Had I closed my eyes, the smells from the kitchen combined with the pasta dish and the amazing espresso I ordered for dessert could have convinced me I was back in Europe dining along the Mediterranean. Yes, this restaurant is aptly named. The bakery has macarons, which my friend highly recommends. I look forward to dining at the Euro Cafe again.

Very unique place. Loved the food. Really impressed I could get zucchini noodles and had a wonderful gluten free meal. Great wine selection The feta cheese salad dressing was out of this world. The dinner was not fast but absolutely worth it. They have an extensive menu and each dish was cooked perfectly.
My husband had the totellini with sausage in cheese sauce and it was out of this world.
The portions are generous and everything was fresh and well prepared.
Only issue was the waitress forgot our mushroom appetizer.
We came at an off time but i can see this place wouls be jammed normally. There is a little gift shop at the entrance which gave a bit difference in atmosphere

Little known hideaway to sit back, enjoy, & eat delicious food. Perfect. On Thurs evenings make a reservation to do the 5 wine tasting & 5 course meal – we plan too! And on every 3rd Tues of the month you can do the same with a 3 course meal….I am truly amazed with the food & service. Scale of 1-5 just went up to 10!!!!

I’ve been here several times and when a friend gave me the gift of dinner and a show (Hale Theater is close by) I chose here because I love the Feta Gyro. Service was pretty bad. She never came back to say anything as we waited over 45 minutes for our food. For reference, we both had a gyro. When she finally dropped off the food, mine had obviously been set on a wet plate and the pita was soggy. She never came back to check, so since we were out of time, I ate most of it. The part in foil was OK so I ate that smaller part with the not soggy pita, and I ate the inside. The sandwich itself was not as usual, there were only 2 artichokes and one of them was hard on the outside. When the waitress finally walked by, I stopped her and showed her, and she said “do you want another one” and told her we don’t have time but please let the kitchen know. That’s it, no I’m sorry. Usually when that happens in a restaurant, they tell the manager who comes and apologizes, but nope. Things go wrong, but at least make it right….

So my wife has been going here since she was a kid, even back to their old location by Fiesta Mall. We are seldom in Gilbert, but since we were headed there for a show we were able to get there for dinner, and it did not disappoint.
We had the fried spanaki balls and my wife said that they were as she remembered from 30 years ago, and were delicious. We also split a new menu item, the 207 steak salad. Many steak salads are just a couple slices or meat on some lettuce, but this was MANY cubes of perfectly seasoned and cooked steak in a bed of various vegetables, all perfectly cooked. We will be back!

Huge menu. Everything I have tried has been good, though I tend to order a gyro or gyros platter. Many pasta dishes and other things to choose from. The feta salad dressing is delicious. Portions are large. There is a dessert case at the front where you can see the vast selection, and they are really good, too. You can even shop for knick knacks at the entrance. Cute things.
Drawbacks: They won’t substitute or omit ingredients. And the bathrooms are not inside the restaurant but are out in the common area of Heritage Square.

We’ve been eating here for decades, ever since they were on Longmore, North of the old Fiesta Mall. Though we haven’t lived in AZ for over 20 years, we always stop by Romeo’s when we’re in town.
The menu is a little smaller at the moment, but the quality is at least as good as it ever was. Massive portions… Service was spectacular too!

Quaint cafe with innovative dishes, a small gift shop with eclectic items and lots of parking outside.
Take your time reading the menu as it has original recipes!!

I’m sure the food here is good but we never had the opportunity to have any due to the fact the writing on the menu is so small. people are using their phones to read the menu. That was a red flag and the fact that there’s not a bathroom in the restaurant. You have to go outside in the main hall of the courtyard To use ,It is a older crowd of regulars that hang out here which is fine. And the fact that there’s not a sign that says” seat yourself” or you’ll be standing there forever. The Place is a little bit small and they have a separate main dining room that’s across the courtyard. So if you have a big party of people You’re going to have to sit way over there
