Stuffed mushrooms to start-cheesy, garlicky little bombs that vanished before we could blink. My girlfriend’s eggplant parmesan was crispy-edged perfection, sauce with real depth, the kind that makes you close your eyes for a second. I got the chicken piccata: bright lemon, briny capers, butter that somehow stayed silky instead of greasy. We fought over the last piece of bread like it owed us money.
Our server, Madeline, was the MVP. Swift without rushing, funny without forcing it, kept the water full and the vibe easy; like she knew exactly when we needed another minute or another glass of wine. No hovering, just perfect radar.
Warm lighting, relaxed crowd, zero pretension. We left stuffed, happy, and already texting each other about going back. If you’re in Dallas and want Italian that feels personal instead of corporate, hit Roma’s. Five stars, easy. Tell Madeline the chicken piccata guy said she killed it- she’ll probably just smile and say “thanks,” but it’ll make my night feel briefly legendary.
Thank you Mona & Freddy for the best service ever!!
I ordered the chicken fettuccine Alfredo, and my husband got a Caesar salad with salmon. We also ordered two sweet teas, which were $3 each. Our total came out to about $44 and some change. Unfortunately, our experience didn’t live up to the hype.
The waiter who helped us was very short with us and didn’t seem to have time to socialize, though we noticed he was chatting quite a bit with one specific table nearby. That definitely made us feel overlooked.
After eating, both my husband and I experienced stomach issues — we both ended up with diarrhea not long after leaving. Because of that, we’re concerned there may be some cross-contamination or food safety issues happening in the kitchen.
We just wanted to share our experience to give others a heads-up before dining here. Hopefully, management takes note and makes improvements, because it seems like this place could be great if more care were taken with customer service and food handling.
My kids eat the kids Spaghetti and Marrinara with meat balls and get 2 additional orders of their awesome meatballs on the side. Sure the meatball sub is to die for.
They also have a full bar with several top shelf and limited editions on wine, bourbon, scotch and tequila.
Skip the franchise and make a stop here. You won’t be disappointed.
P.S. the Calamari is actual meat less breading.
Tip: Chicken Murphy is a sure try, it’s not spicy but it’s very flavorful and saucy as you can see in the pics.
