We had an amazing experience at Romano’s on St. Augustine Beach! ❤️
The Vodka Penne with Grilled Chicken was absolutely delicious — rich, creamy, and cooked perfectly. (Dug into before the picture.) We also ordered a small cheese pizza, and it was everything you’d want… hot, fresh, and full of flavor.
The restaurant itself was very nice and clean, with a welcoming atmosphere that made us feel right at home from the moment we walked in.
A big Thank You to Phil for the outstanding hospitality and great service — you truly made our visit even better!
If you’re in the St. Augustine Beach area and looking for great Italian food and friendly service, Romano’s is definitely worth checking out. We’ll be back!

I stopped in on Super Bowl Sunday for a slice for lunch. The place is totally remodeled with a nice clean look. They had many different choices for slices, but I was just in the mood for a cheese slice. It was a huge slice for $3.75 that was really good. Can’t wait to try some of the other varieties.

Fantastic lunch spot, nice and quiet with relaxing music playing. Good pizza but $5 for a slice of cheese pizza is a little much. Was $3 for the longest time and a weekly lunch spot for my coworkers and I. With the price hike I don’t think we’ll continue eating there. I normally order 3 slices and a root beer which came out to $17 then after tipping came out to over $21.

Friday Pizza Night brought us to the Beach to try Romano’s. I noticed that this establishment received numerous good reviews on Google about its food, so we were hopeful that the pizza would be good. This restaurant was in a crowded strip area off A1A. Parking was a bit tight, but we were early so we found a place nearby.
The restaurant was small, and we had our choice of seats. The first thing we noticed was rather loud music playing near our seats . We did ask our waitress to lower the volume so we could hear ourselves talk, but the music played on. So much for a quiet dinner……..
Vicki chose the antipasto salad. I ordered the Margarita Pizza. Vicki asked for bottled water or ginger ale, but was told the restaurant served neither. We settled for water.
My pizza came in a reasonable time. Unfortunately it seemed to be all mottled mozzarella cheese and very little red sauce. It turned out to be one of the worst pizzas that I’ve ever had. I realize that pizza in Florida is very different than pizza in the Northeast (where I’m from), but this pizza was bad. Vicki said her salad was okay, but nothing to write home about. The service here also was lacking, for the very young waitresses seemed to forget we were the only customers in the house……
I’m not sure why this restaurant got such glowing reviews for its food and service. We both agreed we would not return.

My Husband and Myself have not been here in a couple of years. When we walked in (party of 4 adults). The first thing I noticed is how new and clean it was. Restroom included. And that’s a big thing to me. We were warmly welcomed, and the service was great. Jenna our server was very attentive as were a couple of other worker’s. I believe one of them was the cook. We got a large cheese pizza and it was great. My husband is very hard to please when it comes to pizza. He is from New York and is VERY pickie. He loved it. We have been married for 46 years. It’s not often that he likes a pizza as well as he liked this one. That should tell it all right there. We live over an hour away and wish that we were closer. But I will say that everytime we go to St. Augustine we will definitely be visiting this great pizza place.

So we stumbled upon this place while visiting Saint Augustine. We had pizzas and it was some of the best pizza we’ve ever had. It was cooked perfectly and they had a lot of options. We also ordered the broccoli Rob with sausage. That was delicious. Don’t be surprised because it’s a very small place and they don’t have a lot of seating, it is totally worth stopping in and trying the food. It is definitely a place that we will return to when we come back in the town.

An update for anyone looking for gluten free pizza- they no longer have gluten free pizza at this location and they also do not have the XL size pizza. We ended up having to order from somewhere else to get the gluten free pizza.
