It has been a while since I have eaten at Macaroni Grill. Bad experiences in the past.

We thought we would give it another try.
Our server Sam was friendly and fast. We ordered drinks and an appetizer.
We then ordered our meals and everything was Amazing! Our server checked on us and we were not disappointed at all.
After today, my wife and I will be back.

Management: Kudos for the quality of food and great service. One concern, two types of glasses used for the Old Fashion drink. Consistency is important for your success.

We were here on a Thursday evening to celebrate my birthday. Party of six. Mistook where the entrance was and had to walk all away around..no big deal, but strange that it isn’t clearly marked from where you park to where the entrance is. Reason for this is that the front doors actually face the frontrage road where there is no parking. Once inside, the hostess was pleasant and showed us to our table. For six, 5 medium sized adults and one 9 year old the table did not feel generous in size. A little cramped. No big deal, but I noticed it. Looking over the menu I was disappointed to see that the lamb, which I had several times in both Anaheim Hills, California and St.Louis (both locations no longer in business), is not listed. Ok, fine, it still leaves all the other protein options. Our group chose two appetizers–Fried Calamari and Pan Seared Brussel Sprouts–and as main dishes Pork Tomahawk Chop with Mushroom Risotto, Shrimp Pasta in Garlic Butter Sauce, Grilled Salmon with Brocolli, Truffle Mac and Cheese, Pasta Alfredo with Chicken, and a child’s meal with cheese pizza.
Everyone enjoyed their meals. The pork chop was seared to perfection and was picture perfect. It had a melted cheese covering which was superfluous, but was easy to remove and set aside to admire the perfect triangular sear. The mushroom risotto was phenomenal. Never tasted one this earthy and rich. Bravo. The Shrimp with angel hair pasta was very good. A tasty dish albeit a tiny bit one-sided. I would like to see halved pearl tomatoes in this to add an extra dimension, i.e. tartness-sour. Waitress Vera was a gem. Added a lot of charm, which was helpful as the restaurant was quite empty for a Thursday evening. We came early, so hopefully folks eat late here and the filled up after we left. Last, I was surprised that despite it being my birthday which was clearly communicated, no token desert with candle was offered. Vera did sing a beautiful rendition of HBD while holding a burning candle in her fingers. A bit sad, really. All in all, please go, they need the business and it is a fun, tasty lunch or dinner option. If we don’t support it, it may go the AH or STL route and that would be a loss.

The food was very bland. This chain keeps getting worse as far as food is concerned. Went for dinner around 7pm. The restaurant was pretty much empty. The only bright spot was the waitress named Daniela. She was the hostess, bartender, waitress and taking care of to go orders. Also how do you advertise a Happy hour and not have any draft beers? This chain used to be very good at one time now it’s worse than Olive garden not that Olive is a good restaurant.

Normally I say good things about places and try to be very honest with my reviews, so here we go. Hadn’t been here in sometime and figured I’d give it a shot again. Unfortunately, I now know why I don’t come here. Place was completely empty but there was an A rating in the window. How? I ordered the Mama’s Trio and I was looking forward to enjoying my $24.50 meal but unluckily found a piece of plastic in my lasagna. My server came by and I mentioned to this to her. She then retrieved the manager on duty, Ramiro. I tried explaining the situation but it seemed he had nothing but excuses. Rather than offer me a refund, he offered to remake my meal. Very disappointing because you now have that uneasy feeling of things being in your meal. I finished the other items on my plate and just took the new lasagna home. I then received my bill and thinking I wouldn’t be charged full price or at least a discount, I wasn’t. I was charged the full price. Very disappointing and disheartening. I will never return here again.

We thought we’d give it a try, but never again.

The girl on the front desk was kind, we felt bad for her.

Our server, Mia, quit before our food came out (over an hour later). It was completely cold.

We sent it back, about 15 mins later it came back Luke warm.

My wife’s steak wasn’t cooked.

The second serve who came out, Kim was understanding. My issue was the food not the service.

We won’t be back.

I know it’s tough right now with COVID and being short staffed, but our server Ella made the experience great and she was SUPER!! I give her 5 stars.

The food was good. I recommend the Shrimp Portofino which is what I had. The spaghetti and fettuccine were also good. I had a taste of it.

This experience was not the norm, I am a huge fan of this restaurant and I am very disappointed with the experience at this restaurant the music was wrong the Lemon drop Martini was not done right the food was not flavorful and the Server said they let staff go so there was no experience of the crayons and the introduction with signing the Table didn’t happen and it was a bad experience because I bragged to my cousin about it and I couldn’t wait til he enjoyed the whole experience and probably will never go back to this location. Here’s a few pictures of what I’m talking about.

Great dining experience that I had here. Our server was great and the service was great as well. The tomato basil soup was one of the best soups I’ve ever had. The bread was good delicious as well. I would definitely return here.

I’m not a huge fan of chain restaurants but I went here for a special occasion with family. The service was fantastic. Our server was attentive, polite, and kind.

The food on the other hand…..Meh.

Everything tasted like it was once frozen and was flash fried to make it warm. My Butternut Tortellacci was salty, the orzo with the salmon was salty and the Alfredo was bland. The crispy fresh mozzarella tasted like any deep fried mozzarella you get from any dive bar in America.

What’s funny is the only thing I did like was the crispy Brussels Sprouts which, I don’t necessarily like Brussels Sprouts but the crispy balsamic was delicious!!!!

I can’t believe I’m saying this but I’d prefer Olive Garden.

I’m going to give this particular Romano’s Mac Grill a 5 star bordering on 4 tbh. 5 only bc the wait staff was very nice and extremely hard working. This particular night was semi busy. The staff worked off of each other making sure the customers were well taken care of even if they were passing by another staff’s table. Very friendly and warming from all of them. And considering it was outdoors, the staff did thier best to keep our cups full.

I found it unusual that they didn’t have menus and we had to look at our phones to look at thier website to see the menu. I don’t particularly care for this system.

The food was pretty good for a chain restaurant. I opted for the Trio Plate and the Bisque as a starter. The Bisque was a tad salty. I was offered another bowl but felt I already had to much sodium for the night. The Trio which consisted of Fettuccine Alfredo 8/10, Lasagna7/10, and a Chicken Marsala was decent 6/10 (it was kinda burnt). I was happy my plate came out nice and hot. My daughter had the Spaghetti and meatballs. It tasted decently good as well. 8/10.

I’d probably go back again. If I do I’ll give it another review update
