It’s not as good as the other locations (Mission Viejo); however, their food is much better than most Italian Restaurants.
Aesthetic: Dim to Dark dining room with famous Italian figures and celebrities. It’s quirky and fun to look at the wall.
Food: Great! I have been to Romano Cucina many times, and the food never disappoints. However, when compared to other locations of the same restaurant, there were a few missing flavors.
Drink: This location only has wine and beer. No cocktails! Seems like missed opportunity.
Service: The restaurant was maybe at 25% capacity, and I felt the server was ignoring our table. Other tables around us received their drinks and food much faster than we did. This was disappointing. Not sure what happened here since Romano’s normally has great service.
I forgot to take a picture of the rest of our food, as I guess I was hungry.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Romano Cucina in Newport Beach, and I can’t recommend it highly enough! From the moment we arrived, everything was awesome, quick and efficient. The service was outstanding, with an extremely friendly staff that made us feel right at home.
Now let’s talk about the food—absolutely phenomenal! Every dish we tried was a delightful experience, capturing the authentic flavors of Italian cuisine. As a bonus, my 4-year-old, who is usually quite picky, loved the food as well! Finding a restaurant that caters to both adults and children can be a challenge, but Romano Cucina nailed it!
If you’re looking for delicious Italian food with a welcoming atmosphere, Romano Cucina is the place to be. We can’t wait to return for another fantastic meal!

Best pasta dishes around. They’re very accommodating on making sure you get what you want. The meatballs were even better than I remember. That salad is so good! Next time I’m getting the special. Host was welcoming and nice service. Brings back so many memories of the Costa Mesa location I had missed so much. Parked in the lot and took last spot at 545pm.

Had dinner last night for the first time at Romano Cucina. It is a real sleeper. The service was terrific and the food was some of the best Italian food I have had since my Nonna made it for me. The included starter salad was delicious and the Pasta our Way was fabulous. If you like Italian the Italian’s make it you love this spot. The wine list included wines from US and Italy. Dinner for two, bottle of wine, salad, bread, and two pasta dishes mine with a meat ball and sausage and vegetables for my wife. Out the door for under $70. Specials several nights a week. Great value, great food, perfect ambiance!

As soon you walk inside, you feel like in Italy, great atmosphere, great service,food, and with all the pictures frames on the wall , makes Soo fun to be there. For the guys, the bathroom is also full of mafia style pics also. Careful with the Goodfellas,looking back at you.
