Not only does Romanellis serve authentic Northern NJ pie, a rarity in itself, but rarer still, a variety of *vegan* meat and cheese options! Tasty vegan cheese, vegan pepperoni, vegan sausage crumbles, and vegan chicken cutlet are all on the menu. We were surprised and delighted today when we received, along with our vegan pie, a delicious vegan chicken sandwich topped with balsamic and arugula; this item was listed as simply a “chicken cutlet” under the Side Orders section of the web takeout menu. We will definitely be ordering again soon!

1 large pizza and an order of wings. This is truly a hidden gem in Madison, I would’ve never known. I stopped in to pick up my to go order for dinner. 1 slice of pizza ended up being 4 slices and 4 pieces of wings. The pizza was nice and thin, and the crust was baked well! Nicely done very close to NY pizza.
I will definitely try again!

Scouting Morris County Pizza for the Pizza Hunters App and ended up at Romanellis Pizza. Now this place is a prime example of how a restaurant has been in business for 50 years and they rest on their laurels and don’t produce what I am sure was great Pizza at one point. I have to be honest, the pepperoni slice that was presented was not good. I should give 1star, but out of respect, I am chalking it up to. Bad day. It was all grease, thin slice that flopped, no sauce with little cheese. Very Disappointed, was expecting a lot more for 50 years. The server was nice, and outdoor seating was fantastic. Cannot speak on other pasta dishes, only Pizza.

We went for dinner at Romanellis last night to support a local organization (they do a ton of these fundraisers for local groups) and I had a fan favorite – the Caesar salad – and my daughter had the penne Vodka. The best thing about the Caesar are the croutons – made from breadsticks! And my kids would eat the penne vodka every day if they had the chance.
Finally if you’re craving a pie, be sure to try the square grandma’s version- it’s definitely one of my favorites in the area.

So I ordered chicken parmigiana dinner and asked for ziti noodles. They made the order sooo complicated, told me some nonsense about how “penne IS ziti” and how they’re going to send me ziti noodles, not penne, “they just call it that” ??? Only for them to send me my food and still give me penne. The chicken parmigiana dinner looked and tasted awful. NEGATIVE 5 out of 5 stars. Plain slice was also terrible. Very flimsy and oily. Wanted to give their pasta a try because I ordered their wings previously, and they were actually good. But never again! Like ever.

Last time I went here I thought I would try some food instead of pizza or a sandwich. Big mistake. I ordered the lasagna and it tasted freezer burned. Major disappointment.

I got a spinach and cheese pizza cooked perfectly delivered in a timely fashion priced fairly the crust was perfect. Very flavorful with garlic, I am so glad to have found them. I’ll try their other foods as well. Enjoy! Chrisb

The best pizza I’ve ever had! Lovely thin crust, perfect sauce to cheese ratio. It’s my son’s favorite pizza shop and he’s a picky eater. The service is great too! They are friendly and accommodating.
