Recently moved to the area from across the river and was hoping for a true New Yorker slice. I’m sorry this is not it, I wanted to like it and heard good things from friends and neighbors alike. Maybe it’s an off day ordering on Monday afternoon? Pizza cheese slid off the pizza like a slip and slide. Dough had no crisp and structure strength to hold the pizza up….if you’re into flop this is the place.
Chicken Marsala was pretty good and pasta I have no complaints about but the pizza is mediocre at best. Will probably give it one more chance on the weekends to confirm.

Ordered a large pie with two toppings on 1/2, sauce lacks flavor, the pizza itself has no taste. The crust is powdery and very light in color, it’s very cheese heavy which I did not request. Also, the last few pizzas we’ve ordered are not cut through and cut evenly, we always have to cut at home. It seems as though quality is slipping and no one is paying attention.

Food is really really good. Only thing I would change is the quantity. It would be even better to get more really really good food. For example I ordered shrimp marinara and I got 7 shrimp with marinara sauce. Ok yes kind of big shrimp and yes, delicious, but $23+ for 7 shrimp?
Other than the quantity, I’d say the restaurant is serving some of the best food in the area. Definitely recommend for taste and overall meal satisfaction.

Vodka Chicken Parmesan
I had the experience of trying both the traditional chicken Parmesan and and vodka chicken parm. The three cutlets were pounded thin and were slightly crispy. Although I enjoyed both, I feel the vodka plate was the better choice.
The vodka sauce was creamy and was definitely the better choice! It was definitively worth the upcharge!
I recommend asking for an extra cup of sauce on the side so you can enjoy the sauce with every bite.

I’ve been going to Roman’s since I was a kid, so 30++ years and they are the best pizza and Italian food in the area! I wish they sold jarred sauce, so I could have at home when we want to make a quick dinner. The people who work there are great. The food is consistently delicious! My FAV is their eggplant parm!!

Ordered a Sicilian pie for take-out and there was at least a 1/2 inch of raw dough between the cheese and the crust. I’ve ordered from Romans many times and have never had this issue. I guess someone was in a rush. What I’m pulling with my fingers in the first pic is dough, not cheese. Gross.
